This is from my about me alpha album. Journalling reads:
I have never been a very patient person. As a child I was
especially impatient. I was always counting down to the next
birthday, Christmas, weekend, everything. It got worse as I
got older. Always watching the clock when at work, I couldn’t
wait to be home, then I couldn’t wait to get to bed and the day
would end and I couldn’t wait for the next day to begin. So many
stretches of time where I was always waiting for the moment to
end so that the next thing could begin. I was always incapable of
losing myself in the moment.
I did not change when Ted was born. He challenged us so much,
that I was always looking forward to him
out-growing a stage so that hopefully the
behaviour that was causing problems would
leave him behind. Until one day I realsied
that he didn’t sigh in his sleep anymore. Yes,
he had stopped crying all evening but those
cute little sighs had been replaced by sweet
calm breaths. And then I realised that
everything came together. I had to enjoy the
good with the bad. And to just be patient, and
try to let go and just live in the moment.
I still get impatient, but now I know
the importance of stopping, stepping
back and saying ‘This moment will not last- so just let it be.”

goodness, it is SO hard to stay in the moment - i did this too and think it will be a lifelong process :o! your journaling is amazing and the layering is fabulous - the photos are gorgeous and precious and so IN the moment! your book is going to be awesome!! bravo |
