This is the opening page of an album I am working on about my dear grandmother. She was a remarkable woman who meant so much to her family and we all miss her very much. When I finish this album it is going to be a gift for my Mom. The album I am using is a beautiful black suede Colorbok album with a window opening that has bling around it and down the left side. I put my grandma's pic in the window and I embellished the cover with some flowers and bling. I found her name in Rhinestones by Me & My Big Ideas and put that on the cover too. I can't tell you what a pain in the butt putting down those bling letters was! As it is I think I am going to have to put a tiny dab of Wacky Tac on the bottom of each and every rhinestone to keep them from shifting around and falling off. I did the journaling on my computer and printed it out in the font Wendy on a paper that has a subtle gray stippled pattern.
As an added note I have to thank the Cherries for getting me to journal more on my pages. I have always done little journaling other than the bare basics, such as date, event, time of year, age etc, and doing this album about my grandma for my mom should really tell more about my grandma than the basics. It should have some special journaling about what a special lady she was and about the times we shared with her. I intend to journal my way thru this album and I have all you Cherries to thank for that. And it is going to come out a lot better because of it. TFL!
The journaling reads: No one who ever knew her could ever forget her - she was a special lady who meant the world to her family and is missed so much by all of us. Despite the extremely hard times she faced in her life, she endured everything with grace and was one of the strongest women you could ever have met. When she laughed she laughed so hard she made us laugh - and today we can still see her beautiful smile and hear that wonderful laugh whenever we think of her.
