A Cherry on Top: World's Best Online Scrapbooking Shoppe

I loved these photos; the colors were so brillant this day! But that posed a problem; what background to use? All the paper I tried took away from the colors. I had been stuck on these two pages forEVER. Finally I found an answer!

These photos were taken last summer on vacation at a friends farm. The kids were feeding and riding the horses. I had taken a photo of the beautiful land surrounding their farm. I opened this photo in Adobe Photoshop. I blew it up to 12 x 24 inches at 400 dpi. I then turned the "saturation" way down and faded the photo by turning up the "brightness".

Since the pages are 12 x 12 it took 4 pieces of 12 x 8.5 paper to print it out. But eventually I made it and glued it all together. And ta DA...!!

I couldn't be more pleased. I haven't even place embellishments on the page, and I don't think I will. I love it the way it is. It's simple and it let's the photos tell the tale.
