Description
My son enlisted in the Army last summer, and I am intensely proud of him. This picture was taken during his first few days of reception, before he really even got into the training part of basic training. He hadn't even gotten the notoriously ugly Army glasses yet! I used travel tags from Making Memories because they reminded me of dog tags, and even are imprinted with "destination unknown", which I thought was fitting. The journaling reads "I am so very proud of this young man. He gives what few others give, so that we may enjoy all the freedoms we too often take for granted. We are behind you all the way!"
