The Perfect Line For Family Layouts

For most of us that scrapbook our main subjects that we scrap about is our families.  The  3 Bugs In A Rug Home Grown line is the perfect line for family related layouts.  The Home Grown ChitChat stickers are perfect with all the wonderful family and home quotes and sayings.  I love the double sided papers with their bold patterns and beautiful colors that coordinate so well together.   I also love the cute little houses that are on some of the papers and stickers, very homey!  3 Bugs In A Rug has always been one of my favorite companies and this line was no exception, love it!!  This line also has a cute clear stamp set that matches the papers!

It Takes A Family To Make A Home:   I don't have many family photos with all four of us together so when I do get some I love to scrap them.  These photos were taken on Christmas Day 2008.  I wanted to scrap them with the Home Grown line and didn't want a "Christmas" feel to them so I changed the photos to black & white and used photo borders to help hide the Christmas tree in the background.  I started with the back side of the Home paper for my background.  Then added a piece of the Big Floral paper to frame my photos and a piece of the back side on the Frame paper.  I used the Tiny Alphas and Glitter Thickers to create my title for this layout.  To finish my layout I added a couple of the Chitchat stickers and some Prima bling!

I Am Always Here For You:  My daughter, Marissa took these photos of Erik and I shortly after Mother's Day 2008.  This little man is a total mama's boy and I love it!  With all the pattern papers that I used on this layout I choose to use the back sides of all three.  I used the Trees, Frame and Family Words papers and layered them on some Bazzill cardstock.  After I added some of the Chitchat stickers and my title using the Tiny Alphas and Vinyl Thickers I then doodled around my papers.  To finish I simply added a couple of Crushed Velvet Brads from Doodlebug on my doodling.

Home Is Where the Heart Is:  I started with the Big Polka Dots paper and used the back side which has big bold stripes on it.  Layered a piece of the Family Words and a piece of the Floral papers before placing my photo down.  The Doodlebug Sugar Coated Brads were the perfect accent around the top corner of my photo.  I used a mix of the glitter chipboard Thickers and the Tiny Alphas from Making Memories for my title.

We Belong Together:  This layout was created using four of the pattern papers from the Home Grown line.  I started with the back side of the Family Words, which is the brown with white dots pattern.  Next I cut pieces from the Floral and Dots papers.  Then used the back side of the Trees paper for my scallop border, which I later added the Doodlebug Sugar Coated Brads to.  I cut hearts from some of the leftover scraps and added some Chitchat stickers.  To create my title I used the Vinyl Thickers and Tiny Alpha letters.
