Hey friends! Did you get a chance to check out the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright collection? I love the non-traditional color palette of this collection. I picked up the A5 paper stack which is amazing! I was really impressed with how thick this paper is and love that you get two sheets of each pattern in this stack. Another thing that I love is that they are loose sheets of pattern paper and not a paper pad!
I pulled out a star background cut file from my cut file drawer! This cut file is from Lacey Ann Designs and can be used for so many different types of layouts! I backed the cut file using papers from the A5 Merry & Bright paper stack. I picked 6 different pattern papers so it would not be too crazy busy of a background. I like to pick some pattern papers that have a white background and then some with some color and subtle patterns.
I love a white background with a large cut file like this so I pulled out some American Crafts textured white cardstock and trimmed it down just a little bit. To add a little detail to the background I used some gold mist to splatter on the AC cardstock.
The photos are printed in black and white and are of our little Liam Jay decorating the Christmas tree. He was so excited when his ornaments finally stayed on the tree and did not slip off! You can see his excitement in a couple of the photos! I popped the photos up on some foam adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and added embellishments to the left and right of the photos. The Merry & Bright die cut pack is filled with a beautiful mix of die cuts!
At the top left corner, I created a small embellishment cluster using one of the die cut ornaments since the photos are documenting decorating the Christmas tree. I added my journaling using my We R Memory Typewriter and cut it down into strips. To finish off my layout I matted it on one of the 12x12 Merry & Bright pattern papers!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
