It is the change of season here in Wisconsin, and that means the summer clothes are put away, and the sweaters are slowly making an appearance. The air is cooler, the leaves are changing colors, and with the beginning of Autumn comes the much anticipated return to school. With all four of my children now getting on the school bus, I searched for a paper line that would have the "cute" for my kindergartener, but still have the "cool" factor for my middle schooler, and the "fashionable" colors for the two girls in between. I found the perfect line in ki memories School Days. Not only are there beautiful papers, but they also have ribbon, alphabets, rubons, stamps, buttons, chipboard and brads to complete line. I completed four layouts almost exclusively with this line.
ki memories has a multistripe paper that is perfect for cutting in strips and using to add a splash or two of colors on your layouts. On this layout, I also used the Playground Shimmer paper to make a flower with a chipboard school bus center. It gives it the look that is perfect for a kindergarten page. The fun and whimsical patterned chipboard letters (complete with apples!) also add to make it colorful and cute.
My third grade student is more reserved and studious, and there are papers perfect for her as well. Again, I used the stripe paper to just add a little color. The non-shimmer papers are two-sided, so it is easy to create a look that is flowing when you need a solid color as well. The brads make perfect separation for the words describing her third grade experience.
Simple and classic describes my fifth grader, and a traditional school layout was in order for her. The ribbon sashes give a great variety of choices to add to your layouts. I also punched circles outs of the daydream paper and added it to the playground shimmer paper. I hope this helps her remember the reasons she goes to school!
My middle schooler needed something more "grown up" looking, so the composition shimmer paper was the perfect choice for him. He is a minimalist, so I just added a title with the cookie cutter alphabets, a few brads for emphasis and ribbon and chipboard for more color. I also got a little more of the stripe paper on this one!
If you are looking for a versatile, colorful and classy school line, School Days is the perfect choice!
