Honey & Spice Layout
Pin It

Hi friends! Natalie here, using the new Heidi Swapp Honey & Spice collection.

This collection is so great for any time, but I created a fall themed page by die cutting the awesome papers into leaves! The dies were mostly Tim Holtz and some Momenta leaves. I inked up the edges of the leaves with aged mahogony distress oxide so they would stand out from the page.

My main photo focus was set atop the leaf clusters, around which I settled my title. These wild ladies went out on the town to make candles, so "this day was LIT!" was clearly a great choice for a title. I love to mix & match my Thickers to emphasize a certain point - here being a pun!

These cardstock stickers were perfect for my page! The sentiments were versatile, and I love how the backside of the sheet has labels. I used a couple for the page journaling.

We laughed a ton this day, so I knew I wanted to use the word "laugh" from the cardstock stickers, but I didn't have a great place to put it ... until I turned it vertically! It nestled right between some photos & gave a fun interest to that part of the page. Don't be afraid to use your embellishments in fun, different-than-usual ways to create additional interest on a page!

I love to add sparkle to all my pages. I included glitter leaves in my clusters behind the main photos. To balance the shine and shimmer, I grouped a trio of the rose gold foil cardstock stickers on the bottom half of the layout.

I hope you're inspired to pick up some Honey & Spice today and craft away! I can't decide on a favorite - the background paper, Cider House or the cheetah print, KindredWhich do you love most?!

You can catch a process video on my YouTube channel too!
