Distressing Class
Tips & techniques for giving your projects that shabby chic look.

Do you stress over distressing? Are you eager to try it yourself but cautious of taking that first step? Did you buy the Making Memories distressing kit but have yet to experiment with all the gadgetry? Join me for this class where I'll share tips and techniques for using various distressing tools and giving your projects that shabby chic look you're been dying to try. It's time to De-Stress!

Class supplies (suggested):

  • a photo or two, to experiment with
  • patterned paper and/or cardstock with a white core, such as Die Cuts With A View brand cardstock
  • Sandpaper or sanding block
  • Stamping ink such as Color Box chalk ink, StazOn permanent ink, Ranger Distress Ink, or any dye-based ink
  • acrylic paint
  • chalks

Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (30-day trial versions available at www.adobe.com)
Desktop Wallpaper template (available to be downloaded here: http://www.acherryontop.com/images/NSDwallpapertemplate2.png simply right click and "save as" to your computer)
Up to 7 photos, digital or scanned in, that can be cropped (there will be 1 horizontal, 1 vertical, and 5 square)
A couple of your favorite fonts installed to your C:/Windows/Fonts folder
If you would like to experiment with your template a bit more, have a digital kit downloaded and unzipped, and I will help you use it
Tip: Make sure that your photos, template and kit (if you choose to use one) are all easy to find on your computer.

This will be a fairly basic class, great for beginners, but welcome to all computer skill levels! The only limitation on this is your imagination! Here are 2 samples of what can be done to your desktop:

Library Pocket Mini Album Class

Want to learn to make a super easy and fast little mini album? In this class we will be learning to make a Library Pocket Mini Album. It's quit easy and fast to make, add a few embellishments and photos to your album and you're done. Saffie, you don't need to sign up for them. The only ones with a requirement are the kit classes (you need to purchase one of the kits). Otherwise, join these ladies in the chat room at the specified time/date!
