Layout Tutorial with All Heart
Pin It

Hey there ACOT friends!  I'm here today to share my first post with you on the Blog.  I've got so many new goodies from the A Cherry on Top store, and I'm having so much fun creating with them!
One of my new favorite collections is All Heart from Crate Paper
There are so many awesome patterned papers and embellishments in this collection.  It is definitely right up my alley!  I wanted to do a paper folding technique on the layout, so I started by punching out 2 inch circles from papers in the 6x8 paper pad.  Then I folded the edge along two sides of the circle to create a 90 degree angle.  Once I had all of the circles punched and folded, I arranged them on my background paper, to create my own unique design.
I made sure to leave some space in between each group of the folded shapes on my layout.  This way, I had room to add my photo, title and an embellishment cluster.  I gave my photo dimension, by placing some foam behind it.  Then I layered the words Go Girl from the Icon Thickers, over and below the photo, to create interest for my title.  I always like to add several embellishments around my photo.  It helps draw your eye to the most important part of your layout.
Once I had the main elements ready on my layout, I started looking through the embellishments from the collection.  I love finding the perfect spot for each one!  I also like to make sure I mix several types of embellishments, like stickers, puffy stickers, ephemera, and chipboard stickers, to create varying texture and dimension on my layouts.
If you would like to see how everything came together on this layout, I am sharing a Process Video HERE on my YouTube channel.  This is a great way to see all of these awesome products in action!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Do you have any new favorite collections from the ACOT store?  And how are you planning to use them?  It's always fun to use new products on any of the projects you're working on.  I hope you've been inspired by the layout I've shared today, and that you'll give the fun paper folding technique a try on one of your projects.
