Welcome to the Cherry Blog! Today I'm sharing this layout I created using the beautiful Mediterranean Dreams collection. This collection is perfect for summer projects and has lovely shades of blues and yellows. I knew I wanted to do a bit of layering using the 12x12 Paper Pad to work in as many of the pages as I could.

This collection also has some beautiful dies that I added to this page as well. This includes the Delicate Lace Border Die and the Tile Die. I cut the lace out in one of the yellow patterned papers and used it as a layering piece on the right side of my layout. The Tile Die is used to back my photos. Much of it got covered up but I love the look of the lace popping out.

My embellishment pieces were fussy-cut from the paper pad. There are so many beautiful flowers, lemons, and oranges to choose from. I kept with the lemon theme because in my photos we are having a picnic with lemonade. To give the fussy-cut pieces some dimension, I went around the edges with a blending brush and Blueprint Sketch Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink. I also added this blue to the edge of the white background.

I popped up these flowers and lemons using foam tape dots. For my title, I used the Live Your Zest Life Stamp & Die, which had a lot of fun sayings to choose from.

Before I added my photos, I used a White Spectrum Noir Acrylic Paint Marker to add white splatter all over the page. I did this by pushing down on the pen nib until the paint got flowing then tapping the barrel of the pen against my hand to get the splatters. This is an easy way to create splatters if you don't want to get out your acrylic paint, brush, and water cup.
