Blog wear, making your own headers, and layouts inspired blogs...

Let's face it, BLOGS are all the rage today.  Whether or not you have one, read one, or hope to start one soon, they are full of inspiration and can be a great way to display your own thoughts, ideas, and of course scrapbook pages!  The digital creative team decided to use BLOGS as our theme for this week's reveal.

Sarah (Davsar) created this simply stunning blog header for her family blog. Sarah says, "Her blog is fantastic and so are her products so I used all of Laura Burger's items for my inspiration!"

Here is an closer look at Laura Burger's header found at http://burgersbytes.blogspot.com/

Karin (mayerkt) took this opportunity to give her blog a face lift and produced some adorable results using some templates and a darling kit.  Karin says,  "I've used premade "quick page" headers in the past, and I'm so much more happy with a template [where I can use] my own choice of kit, I don't think I'll go back! I also made clickable buttons for my html links on the side!"  The results on Karin's blog are so amazing!  You can check it out in action on her blog at http://ktmk.blogspot.com

Angie (nun69) is no stranger to creating her own blog headers.  When the challenge was introduced for this reveal, she quickly posted her previous header and created a new one just for the reveal.  You can view her blog and these super cute headers on Angie's blog at http://scrappinfor4.blogspot.com

Here is a one more blog header made by Marci (m1218p)

Karin, Marci, and Angie all used these great blog header templates by Amy Bleser.

Sara (Keling) reached deep down and brought out her inner designer to make her very own mini kit to aid her in the design of her new blog header.

Many of our ACOT digital designers have blogs where they talk about up and coming products, new releases, coupon codes, and freebies.  A few of the creative team members chose to surf the web and gather enlightenment from the ACOT designer blogs.

M'Lee (Themom) our February Guest CT member, took Lena's blog header for musing and scraplifted it into a darling layout! M'Lee titled her layout "Frosty". You might try scraplifting your favorite designer's blog, you could get lucky and end up with a fantastic layout just like M'Lee.

Here is a sneak peek of Lena's blog header.  You can check it out live by visiting her blog: www.lenabrandenburg.blogspot.com

Egle (FairyMouseMom) went to Di Hickman's blog and found some wonderful vision for this beautiful layout. Titled, "Happiness"

Ronny (Smiley-Scrap8 ) chose Kami Pfingsten as her designer to seek inspiration from.  Ronny commented, "[Kami's] header is very simple and elegant and I was surprised how many things I took from it to complete my layout. First I liked the larger black & white photo of her kids. I also was inspired by the brown background, stitching around the photo, and the text running into the photo." Her layout titled "My World" came out brilliantly.

Here is Kami's wonderful header, which you can find at: www.kreationsbykami.blogspot.com

Laura (Art_Teacher) used designer, Kelly Shults' blog for her inspiration.  Laura said, "I was inspired by Kelly's blog which is [made up of] three columns, with the middle column being wider.   Also, she posted a challenge [on her blog] to use green in a layout, and the quote by George Bernard Shaw was one of her quotes of the day."
You can check out Kelly's blog and maybe catch some of your own bright ideas there: www.kellyshults.com

Janell (janello) said this about her layout, "My inspiration for this layout came from Randi Oh's blog: http://www.randioh.com She has little doodles all over and fun flowers, it reminded me of how much I love doodles and I always have wanted to use her very cool bubble wrap alphabet for a long time!"

Often designers offer freebies on their blogs.  This is the perfect time to remind everyone about important piracy policies.  When you are sharing a freebie with a friend, please ALWAYS direct them to the website where you can access the freebie, instead of sharing the links.  Also please be sure to read the "terms of use" before using elements on your blog as each designer varies.

Janell (janello) also made this cute desktop calendar using the freebie that is offered on Isabel Mendez's (Crisdam designs) blog: http://www.busyfingers-digiscrap.blogspot.com/
