Have you tried the new trend of a 9x12 scrapbook page? I love the feel of the rectangle, but a larger canvas than 8.5x11. I make custom page protectors by sewing a 12x12 to specifications to fit!
Here I cut a white piece of cardstock to 9x12, and this lovely page from the Pink Paislee Wild Child collection (Paper Eleven) a smidgen smaller. I distressed my edges and sewed the patterned paper to the mat with gray thread.
The new Pinkfresh Studio Out & About collection coordinates fabulously with this Wild Child line! I matted my photo with this Wild Child rocket paper, and used the ephemera pack from Out & About to embellish. I also used the mixed embellishment pack with great enamel dots and some pop dot sticker embellishments.
I combined some Pinkfresh Studio puffy alpha stickers with this Heidi Swapp glitter sticker to create my title. I embellished with some Out & About ephemera and an embossed world circle from Momenta.
I used a Tim Holtz Polka Dot stencil with texture paste to add interest in the middle of the page between my embellishment clusters. The roughness and white color of the texture paste mimic well the textured edges of my white page mat and tie the page together!
I love finding different collections with similar color schemes to mix-and-match among my layouts. A great way to do this is to use the filter function when searching ACOT's paper section. You can search colors and mix and match among different product lines and collections. This is a fun way to be creative, and to create unique pieces of artwork for your papercrafting projects. I had so much fun creating this layout, and I hope I've provided a bit of inspiration for you today!

I have not tried this, but I just ordered my first Traveler's Notebook, and I am going to try this style of scrapbooking. Seems similar to the 9x12!
