Hey Cherry friends! Erica here with you today to share a new layout featuring the Doodlebug Design Bundle of Joy collection. This is a new collection from Doodlebug Design that is perfect to document all the little sweet baby girls in your life. I love the colors in this collection and so excited for the new color added to Doodlebug Design! You can check out all the Bundle of Joy products HERE at A Cherry On Top Crafts!
I started by cutting out the Full Heart cut file from A Cut Shoppe and used my favorite American Crafts textured white cardstock to cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo 3! I used the Bundle of Joy 6x6 paper pad to back the cut file by tracing each little shape and cutting around my trace line. This cut file did take some time to back but I just love how it turned out! The colors in this collection are so soft and pretty I decided to print my photo in black in white since it was so dark in color.
The photo is of our sweet baby girl Alyssa Danielle resting on mama. She was such a tiny little girl when we brought her home from the hospital we had to stop at the store and get some preemie sleepers for her because the newborn size was way too big! Once my cut file was backed I added pieces of foam adhesive all over the back to pop it off the page. Before I added it onto my background I decided to add some color to the page. I used some Catherine Pooler Designs Inks in It's A Girl and Bellini. Catherine Pooler inks are currently on sale at A Cherry on Top so make sure to stop by and check out all the beautiful colors HERE!
I splashed on some color using my paint brush. I added some ink to an acrylic block, added water and then flicked the paint brush around my white cardstock. Once it was dry I added the cut file and then added some layers of pattern paper behind my photo and placed it down to the page. I used the Bundle of Joy Odds & Ends and Chit Chat pieces to embellish around the layout. I really wanted to use a doodle-pop and this cute pink rabbit was perfect to add to the right of my photo. There are so many pieces in the ephemera packs it makes it easy to create embellishment clusters on your page.
To try and balance out my page I decided to create a smaller cluster over to the top left of the cut file using more Bundle of Joy Odds & Ends and Chit Chat pieces and that super cute little birdie doodle-pop! Here is a look at my completed layout using the Doodlebug Design Bundle of Joy collection.
