ACOT enters a Digital World ...

Over 200 new products!

February 1st ...

Many of you may or may not have heard of the Digital Scrapbooking trend, but we wanted to begin to offer our customers some of these fantastic high quality products so that they can try out Digital Scrapbooking for themselves.  We will continue to carry over 11,000+ high quality paper scrapbooking supplies, but we wanted to add a few digital products as another great service to our customers.

Digital Scrapbooking is a scrapbooking technique in which one uses a computer software program (such as Photoshop CS or Paint Shop Pro) to assemble a layout either partially or in its entirety on the computer.  Many individuals will then upload their layouts to sites such as ACOT to show off their work ... others print their layouts in an 8"x8" format on their ink jet printers.  Paper scrapbookers can benefit from the Digital Scrapbooking trend by purchasing digital products from sites such as ACOT, downloading them onto their computer, and then printing them out for use in their paper scrapbooking projects.

Beginning  February 1st, ACOT will begin offering some of the absolute best digital scrapbooking products in our Online Shoppe.  These products will be available for instant download once you have made a product purchase, from the "My Downloads" screen.  These are digital products and you will NOT receive a CD or product in the mail after having purchased a digital product.  They are currently only available for download from our website (although we do have plans to offer a CD Purchase Option sometime in the future).  You will notice that digital products in our online store include a special CD icon to indicate that they are not the same as the products we normally ship to our customers.

We do hope that our customers and the online scrapbooking community enjoys our new product offerings here at ACOT, and we hope that we can continue to add value to your scrapbooking experience.

Hello! My name is Amy Tanabe, I live in a Southern Colorado with my husband and our two children, Abbie and Trenton. I'm fortunate enough to live in a very rural area where we both grew up and have family close by. By day I'm an Administrator for an Assisted Living, by night a mom and digi scraping fool!

Natural Beauty Be Yourself Free Spirit

I've been scrapbooking for about 9 years. I started out with traditional scrapbooking when my daughter Abbie was born. In 2004 I discovered digital scrapbooking and have loved every minute of it. Every once in awhile I will get back into my paper products and complete an altered project but for the most part I love the convenience of digital.

I'm very excited to say that I was published in Simple Scrapbooks Digital 4 issue as well as the Premiere Issue of Digital Memories Magazine. I also work on some amazing creative teams including Scrap Artist, Kay Miller, Taran Conyers, Sara Carling and of course right here at A Cherry On Top.

I've been scrapping since 1996, but I've been exclusively digi since discovering it in April of 2005. I have a wonderful husband and a wonderful 14 year old daughter.

I'm on the Creative Team here at ACOT as well as CT's for Gina Miller and Jasbeanie.

I've been published in the SBB EZine (Dec. 2005) as well as Digital Memories Magazine (1 LO in the Premier November '05 issue; 2 LO's in the January 2006 issue.)

I'm Bree...a 24 year old SAHM to Mason (3) and Natalie (1.5). I've been scrapping since high school, and started digi scrapping in June 2004. I have no desire to go back to doing pages with paper, but soon will be renovating my office/scraproom so I have an area to do some altering projects with printed out digi supplies and my designer friends' new paper lines!

I am also known around the scrapping world for my sketches...you can find them at www.scrap-maps.com There is lots of different sizes, amounts of photos, and some cards to help you through a slump! My other site is www.justdigitalcalls.com which is a database of the what's what in the digital community...contests, challenges, magazine and team calls, crops, chats and sales!!

I've had the privilege of being published 3 times (all digital layouts, woohoo!). First in Simple Scrapbook's Digital Scrapbooking 3, then in Digital Scrapbooking Magazine, and my next layout will be in Simple Scrapbook's Digital Scrapbooking 5.

biopic2.jpgDani (dmogs)

Hi, my name is Dani Mogstad and I was a die-hard paper scrapper and swore I would never even try digital, but last spring I decided to take the plunge! It was a wonderful fit for me since I have used Photoshop both professionally and recreationally for years. It only took me a couple of layouts before I was hopelessly hooked, and the rest is history! I would consider my style a "paper style" with an emphasis on a realistic feel and I love using unique embellishments and mixing patterns. As I learn and grow as a digital scrapper, I am branching out and trying new things, I always try to push myself to try something new every time I sit down at the computer.

I am also a designer. I have been designing for digital scrapbooking for a little over six months now and I love it dearly! There is just something so wonderfully rewarding about sitting down and creating something beautiful out of an empty screen. I love to share my creations with others, and before I knew it my hobby had turned into a full-blown passion!

Hats off to You Belly Button Wild Thing!

I am a SAHM to a fiery little red-headed girl. She is my joy and inspiration and I love being a mom. I love to scrapbook or design late at night when the whole house is quiet and I can put on my headphones, turn up my tunes, and scrap the night away!

I love the entire world of scrapbooking, the artist it brings out in me, the wonderful community of intelligent, talented and caring women, and the beautiful memories I am preserving for my daughter and future generations.

Hey there! So you want to know a bit about me...well, let’s see what i can do. Right off the bat, i should explain the whole “upper case letter aversion’ that i have! It’s not that i actually have something against upper case letters, i love a great monogram as much as anyone, it’s just that i have a soft spot for little (lower case) letters. All my life, i was sooo small - think wizard of oz, but a bit bigger, so i was often refereed to as ‘little d’. As i’ve gotten older, i don’t seem so small anymore (i think people must be shrinking) but the little d seemed to have stuck. So there ya have it...odd, but fitting.

So, there must be something else...after 13 years of working at the happiest place on earth (disneyland), it was time to stay home and manage a group of real characters - my family. I have 4 amazing boys, (well, 5 if you count my adorable husband, patrick!) zack (13), max (10), wil (6) and nate (16 months). I’d say i’m a sahm, but i’m never really home, so i guess i’ll say i’m a itcm (in the car mom.) (Who can relate to that one?!?)

Scrapbooking...ok, i’m a crazy, obsessed scrapbooker - i love everything about it! Since i was a young girl, i kept scrapbooks, but didn’t really get serious about it until i went to a creative memories workshop over 13 years ago. I was hooked instantly! Paper scrapping is my first love and i never would have thought that anything would come close to the joy i found in it until i started playing with digital. I’m in love with digi scrapping now! I love the ‘no mess’ aspect of digi and the amazing community that digi has brought into my life. Style, well, if i have one, i think it’s ‘paper like’ - leaning a bit to shabby, grunge.

heartbreaker christmas boys simple things

As well as being a member of this fab team, I am also enjoying being on Tabatha Reed's creative team. I'll be published this coming March in Scrapbook-bytes Ezine.

Kristin (KristinCB)

KristinI have been digital scrapbooking since may of 2003. I have been hooked ever since. I love that I can create scrapbook pages, and at the same time have had the chance to meet so many friends and become a part of a wonderful community.

My program of choice is adobe photoshop. I was introduced to adobe when I worked in pre-press at a print shop. I worked there for about 4 years and then I decided to move on to a photography store where I did the graphics work as well as front retail sales.

My style really varies. I guess I am a bit of an eclectic scrapper, it really depends on the kit I am using. I love very clean pages and I also like the montagy/blended look as well.

My family and I have just recently moved to Elkford, BC and this has allowed me to become a SAHM! I am loving this job and I couldn't be more blessed. I have one daughter, Lily, who is three years old and she is featured on 99% of my pages.

Digital Scrapbooking is definately a passion for me. I am hoping to scrap tons more this year and hopefully get published as well.

I was a digi kit designer but have put that on the back burner for the time being. I am in the process of developing a custom art/invitation online store though.

I have been published in simple scrapbooks and also paperkuts.

Rachel (RGiallongo)

September6 156b&w.jpgHi there! My name is Rachael Giallongo! I am married to Scott (since Leap Year Day 1996) and between us, we have 5 children! Nicole is 16, Victoria is 13, Megan is 11, Dane is 8 and Dylan is 7. We live in southern NH in a small town just outside Manchester. We have one crazy cat and an adorable Yellow Lab, Duchess.

My husband is a chef and I work part time in the marketing department for a scrapbook company based here in NH.

I started paper scrapping in 1998. I have had the honor of having my work appear in: Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends, Simple Scrapbooks, Scrap & Stamp Arts and several other publications. You can view my complete publication credits at my ScrapBio here: http://www.scrapsubmit.com/Bio.php?1404 I also co-authored "The Office Book" with Melissa Reynolds. The book, published by Pinecone Press, released in December 2005.

I never thought I would go digital in any sense of the word... that is until I got the Canon Digital Rebel XT in July. I then created my first digital page on the train to CHA in Chicago in July 2005. I was hooked! The past few months have been a whirlwind as I have set aside my paper trimmer and adhesive and turned to Photoshop and the amazing digital designs available on the market!

I am thrilled to be a part of the A Cherry On Top Digital Design Team!

You are my Shining Star Reading One of Our Own

Hi Everyone!!!! My name is Shanah Gordon - formerly known as Peasedtomeetyou! I am thrilled to be here at ACOT! I've been scrapping digitally for over a year now and I'd say it's safe to count me as ENTHRALLED!!!! I have scrapping on the brain 24/7 and liken the hobby to some crazy addictive drug like the one's they warn you on the news about......you know....just one time and you'll be forever addicted!!! Well...in my case we call it "passionate"....I hate the "A" word!!!!

I am on three other creative teams besides ACOT.....Digital Memories Magazine....Designer Digitals and Gina Miller. I've recently gotten organized to submit my layouts and one is being published in SS Digital 6.......yeah!!!! Makes me sound more legitimate to my non digi friends who can't get why "sitting in front of the computer all day is fun!!".

Oh yes, and I'm an abuser of these little dots.......see.....like this......hope I don't drive you crazy!!!!

Listen....and listen good! My two life's miracles. Lovely....isn't she?

Sharon (scrapworking)

SharonBW.jpgHi! I'm Sharon...single mom to 2 great boys Thomas (15) and Adam (11). I started paper scrapbooking in 1997 and began playing with digital scrapbooking products in July 2005. The chat with Shabby Princess brought me to ACOT and encouraged me to give this digital scrapbooking serious thought. I love using sketches and templates in my digital work. I started playing with Photoshop 3 years ago while working as a wedding photographer and I'm still learning more and more about the software.

I love trying new things in the realm of traditional paper arts. I've taught scrapbooking classes off and on since 1999...both technique and layout style classes. I love connecting with other scrapbookers and sharing our passion for preserving memories. My style is all over the place...everything from collage, shabby chic, trendy, simple, clean - just wherever my mood takes me. I also rubberstamp and do altered things (bookmaking, photo charms, home decor, etc). I'm on additional design teams in the traditional scrapbooking world, most recently being named to the 2006 Scissor Sisters Design Team. I've also been published a number of times. This is the first digital Creative Team I've been on - and I'm very excited to be on the ground floor with ACOT. Yeah - Very excited!
