Digital Pre-Made Albums Reveal 7 comments

See what YOU can do with them!!!

Seeing how the digi scrapbooking designers have been putting out "albums" ACOT's Digital CT Members thought it would be a good idea to showcase them here for our reveal this week.  One of the main reasons we wanted to do this is to show you what else you can do with these pre-made / pre-designed pages!!!   You do not have to purchase them JUST to be used with the chipboard albums (for which they were designed).  Take a look to see how versatile they really are!

Goof Ball by davsar (Sarah), Digital Guest CT Member

Sarah says, "This was fun creating a layout with Melissa Wilson's Kitchen Curtains Badge Album.  The bright colors really played well with Brennan's goofiness!  I simply scaled the pages down and used them as frames. Then I added a few doodles to the pages and background. Pre-made cuteness!"

I would have to agree with Sarah!

Spring 2008 (left and right sides) by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"Here I used two pre-made bracket pages and, instead of just printing them out to adhere to their specifically-created-for bracket albums, I copied them onto a 12x12 page and created a layout using them!  The products used here are by two digi / digital designers:  Victoria Greenlees and Amy Teets."

AbbyLou Who by nun69 (Angie)

Angie says, "This is another versatile way to use bracket album pages:  downsize them and add to a bigger layout and / or use one of the solid layouts included as a journaling template for your bigger sized layout."

Bubbles and Smiles by janello (Janell)

Janell says, "This was so fun to create using Victoria's (Greenlees') bracket album.  (It is) just like a quick page.  I added a few elements and, poof, it was done as simple as that.  I really like the bright colors in this album (as they are) perfect for Spring and Summer layouts!

My Little Son Flower by Keling (Sara)

Sara says, " I had never thought of using some of these mini album kits for the boards on my own pages, so this was great!  ....and I accented this layout with other embellishments."

Moments Together by MamaK321 (Kristianne)

Kristi says, "Using quick pages as part of a layout is a great way to stretch the use of your quick pages and also helps the scrapping go a little quicker!  I used a super cute circle quick page to fill a 12x12 layout, adding just a scalloped mat and inked background paper. So easy!"

To Tell Teacher by Mommybruno (Cassandra)

Cassandra says, "This LO was a lot of fun to put together. I used two pages from the Rainy Day Brag Book - for my photo and my journaling.  It was easy to coordinate them with the Rainy Day kit, and it looks like I did a bunch more work than I actually did!  I never thought of using pre-made album pages this way, but it does add a fun and easy element!

Mommy's Heart by Mommybruno (Cassandra)

Cassandra says, "This page came together very quickly, thanks to the heart-shaped album page by Amy Bleser!  All I had to do was pop in my picture, add a background paper, and two more hearts from the album.  Voila!  A quick but beautiful page in no time!  (This is) just another example of how album pages don't need to just be for albums alone - they are great page elements as well!"

1955 Buick by m1218p (Marci)

Marci says, "Our challenge this week was to use a quick page or album page. Actually I did this with one of my own bracket album pages the other day and thought I was brilliant or weird and wasn't sure which. So glad to see I was not weird. I enlarged a page from Chirpi's Mum's the Word Bracket Album to 8 x 8. I plopped it onto a background paper from the Mum's the Word kit, added a few embellishments (2 more flowers and the ribbon), a title, and some journaling. Voila'! A page in about 15 minutes. I may get all these photos from the classic car show scrapped yet!"

Birthday Boy by bamablue (Glenda)

Here are 4 of the 8 bracket album pages that Glenda made.  She took the pre-made pages and added them to 6x6 pages so that she could print out square-sized layouts and make them into a mini album for the birthday boy!  How cute are these?

Hopefully, we were able to showcase for you the variety of looks that one could get by using a pre-made album page....used either as such or added to a background paper with more embellishing on top of it.  Let us see what you can create with these yourselves...and add your layouts in A Cherry On Top's gallery.

CT Spotlight Vol. 25 13 comments

Welcome to the CT Spotlight, a monthly feature in which the Creative Team will put the spotlight on superior layouts that have caught our eye in the gallery.  We'll show you the layouts, tell you who made them and why we love them.  The first CT member quoted is the one who chose the layout for the Spotlight.

Special Moment by -Shannon-

katarria says:  I love how classy this is!  The scalloped paper and journaling style are perfect and the entire layout came together so well!

Laura Fiore says:  Shannon's Special Moments is utterly beautiful! The photo is just stunning, and the delicate romantic details make for a perfect page!

Mommybruno says:  This LO has such an elegant look! A lot of that is due to that gorgeous picture! But the curved edges and script font all work together to make this a perfect wedding LO!

Beth-W says:  This LO is so elegant and beautiful!  Love the traditional products mixed with the gorgeous photo!

MamaK321 says:  Stunning! I love that she framed the photo with a bracket mat and how the red and cream contrast brings out the colors of her hair and dress so well. The journaling along the edge of the photo is a nice touch as well.

suslvgeo says:  I love how the photo is edited with such a soft feel. Love the triple layered notepad with the journaling. All around GORGEOUS page!

janello says:  This layout is so dreamy and lovely, I adore how the background color plays on the colors in the dress.

nun69 says:  Love how the photo takes center stage in Shannon's LO!

4peasinourpod says:  The picture totally rocks, and the design compliments it so well!  The journaling to frame the picture is a wonderful touch.

FairyMouseMom says:  I love how the colors and elements Shannon used on her layout work wonderfully with her beautiful picture!!!

bluejeans7 says:  WOW!!  That photo has such a soft feel to it.  I love the colors and how she "copied" the flowers from the dress for the perfect embellishment!

Night Night by Jeanie

bamablue says:  I love, love, love this photo and the colors Jeanie chose compliment it so well.  The clustering and word art is perfect and the simplicity of the layout keeps the focus on the photo where it belongs!

Laura Fiore says:  Night Night is just about the sweetest layout I've seen! Jeannie used an adorable embellishments cluster that goes great with her photo!

Mommybruno says:  Adorable!! I love how she clustered the all the page elements, and the colors are just perfect!

Beth-W says:  Love the use of white space and how all of the elements are clustered together so perfectly.

MamaK321 says:  This layout is Fab! I love how the photo and elements carry the viewer in one direction across the page, the uneven brackets and mix of monochromatic patterns really make it pop!

katarria says:  Great colors and I love the clustered embellishments and title!

suslvgeo says:  Love the clustering group and the stardust trailing out if it is fantastic!

janello says:  Beautiful contrasts in the colors and such an adorable cluster with that cute picture!

nun69 says:  This is just totally adorable and I love the cluster of elements!

4peasinourpod says:  I love the clustering and the white space.  It is perfect for the subject!

FairyMouseMom says:  I love how Jeanie clustered her elements all near her picture and left the rest as "white space."

cutie by Marilou64

bluejeans7 says:  What a cutie!!  I love that photo and all the papers and colors highlight it so well!  Awesome design too!

Laura Fiore says:  Marilou has an amazing style...I don't think she's done a single layout that doesn't just pop out of the gallery! This one is no exception...the fun slant, the boyish colors, the great embellishments just make for a playful page!

Mommybruno says:  This is such a cute layout! I love the paper strips and journaling strips, and the tilted elements really add the right touch of fun!

Beth-W says:  Adorable photo and fun design!

MamaK321 says:  This layout is full of spunk and movement with the various circles and stars leading the eye across the page. Great design!

katarria says:  I like how everything is angled in this layout and the doodles on the buttons are a great touch!

suslvgeo says:  What an absolutely fantastic boy page. Love all the shape elements and the strip journaling.

janello says:   I love all the buttons and eyelets and stars, perfect title for this because that is what you say when you see him, for sure he's a CUTIE!

bamablue says:  Buttons and circles and stars, OH MY!  What a cute layout with just the perfect embellies!

nun69 says:  Love the stars, buttons, circles and paper stripes...they all work so well together in the composition of the LO!

4peasinourpod says:  omg...look at the doll!  I love how well embellished this is, yet it doesn't look busy, and the picture just SHINES!

FairyMouseMom says:  I love the bright colors used here...and how the picture and patterned papers were laid down at an angle.

You and Me by wallychick

MamaK321 says:  This simple design with the bold colors and funky pattern-filled white space really caught my eye! I love how she centered the red block to draw the eye right to the middle of the page and the sweet photo. She used the new Cherry Bits Collection too, I give bonus points for that ;) LOL!

Laura Fiore says:  Wallygirl's You and Me layout is very cool for a few reasons...the color combo is fab, that background paper looks like fireworks, which to me adds a sparkle of romance, and the simplicity of the design really draws your eye to their great photo!

Mommybruno says:  What a cute couple! I really like the layered title, and the doodled words!

Beth-W says:  love the simple design and colors she used because they keep the focus on the photo.

katarria says:  The overall design here keeps my eye on the photo and I like how the scalloped paper frames the photo, title, and journaled words.

suslvgeo says:  LOVE that background paper and the red mat really makes it pop. Also love the circled words in the title.

janello says:  Love the journaling doodles and the crisp feel to this layout with the contrasting colors, all comes together masterfully!

bamablue says:  I love simple and this layout is simply lovely!

nun69 says:  The bold colors look great witht he B&W photo!

4peasinourpod says:  I LOVE the title work here!

FairyMouseMom says:  I like the use of a B&W photo here and how the blue matting underneath it just makes it "pop."

Kaysie 08 by mrschez

nun69 says:  I LOVE the mix of a B&W photo with the smaller color photo and the colors are just great!

Laura Fiore says:  This layout by Mrschez is completely stunning...that photo, the gorgeous girl, and the rich elements, combined with a perfect title all add up to STUNNING!

Mommybruno says:  This whole LO has such a nice feel, from the colors to the mix of b/w and color photos! The wings are a great touch!

Beth-W says:  I love how she used a black and white photo and a colored photo.  The title is great and I like the grungeboard wings accent.

MamaK321 says:  Fantastic photos and quote used here! I really like how her photos, title and elements all overlap.

katarria says:  The photos are gorgeous on this layout and I really like how the title is laid out!

suslvgeo says:  This is an all around completly FANTASTIC layout! Truly I love everything about it!

janello says:  What a gorgeous layout. I love the mix of color and black and white.  What an overall stunning layout.

bamablue says:  What a pretty page!  I love the use of the striking b&w photo, which just pops off this muted layout.

4peasinourpod says:  This is the perfect example of how amazing a layout can be when you have a beautiful picture and a few well chosen embellishments.  Everything in this layout works together perfectly!

FairyMouseMom says:  I love the use of both B&W and color photos on this layout.  Love the colors used in the paper and embellilshments / elements.

We Love These Boys by ElsieB

suslvgeo says: I just absolutely LOVE the colors on this. And the design is great!

Laura Fiore says:  ElsieB's We Love these Boys is bright, and fun, and sweet all at the same time! The row of hearts is perfect!

Mommybruno says:  That is such a cute photo, and I love all the hearts she got on this LO! The touches of yellow are nice, and I think they give this page a bit more of a masculine feel.

FairyMouseMom says:  I love the different shaped hearts used here with the different patterned papers.  What a neat way for Elsie to showcase her "boys."

bluejeans7 says:  I trully love everything about this layout!  Such a great photo to start with and then the colors and embellishments work together so well!

The Best of Times by scrapsakes

4peasinourpod says:  I just love Grace's style.  She put products together here that I never would have thought of using, and it works PERFECTLY.  The splashes of purple/pink and the fall color palette is gorgeous!

Laura Fiore says:  Grace's use of the KI Lace over a matching background is just amazing...I love the way she never forgets the  details on her layouts!

Mommybruno says:  I love the color scheme on this LO, and the flower clusters!

Beth-W says:  The use of the brown lace CS on a brown CS was absolutely genius.  I love the photo and how she used the fun colors and flowers with this page.  It's overall page design is perfect as is every LO of Grace's.

MamaK321 says:  There is so much to look at and enjoy about this layout, you can go over it three times and still find beautifully detailed designs that you haven't yet seen!

katarria says:  The monochromatic layering of the KI lace cardstock looks awesome and I like all of the different types of flowers Grace used here!

suslvgeo says:  The layering on this is incredible. The overlapped flowers and scallops really add great detail to this awesome page!

janello says:  I love the combination of patterned papers and the cluster of flowers!  So fun.

bamablue says:  The funky flower cluster really puts this layout over the top.  Very nice!

nun69 says:  Love how Grace was able to pull of the color combo of orange, purple and pink against that dark background!

bluejeans7 says:  The colors of this layout give off such a warm feeling, perfect for the subject matter!

bluejeans7 says:  That photo is so cute!  The cord wrapped around the photo is the perfect touch!

Favorites from 07 by AmyTeets

Laura Fiore says:  I LOVE this one by Amy Teets.  The small cluster of photos and the fun way she cut out the flowers really make for an eye catching layout!

Mommybruno says:  Love how she cut out and rolled the flowers on here to add dimension! This is such a fun way to show off some fun, random pics!

Beth-W says:  I love the colors, fun free-style design and the products she used.  I love all of the flowers and dimension they add to the page.

MamaK321 says:  I love how she grouped the photos together and also roughed up her paper flowers for a very boyish pne123: Fab layout! I love how the bright colors *pop* and the very realistic page accents are too cool.

katarria says:  The dimension on the flowers is a great touch in this layout and I think the cluster of photos is a cool idea!!

suslvgeo says:  Love the grouped smaller pictures and the way she curled the flowers and arranged everything is wonderful.

janello says:  I love the way Amy combines her elements and space.  If I tried to use all the elements she did , it would look all jumbled, but she has a great eye for composition.

bamablue says:  Amy has such a unique style-I love the mini-multi photos that still leave the sense of white space.  And the funky flowers are so much fun!

nun69 says:  Love the fact that she cut the flowers and circles out, curled them a little bit and added a button to the center!

katarria says:  Absolutely stunning!  The photos are perfect, colors are eye-catching, and I like all of the different embellishments too!
