Are you still holding on to the last bit of summer left? I can see the leaves starting to change but I am still having fun creating with all the summer photos we took this year. The kids basically live in the swimming pool during the summer so we have a ton of pool photos! The Simple Stories Sunshine and Blue Skies collection is perfect to document your poolside memories!
The cut file I am using is a Newsletter Freebie from The Cut Shoppe. I think it was the perfect file to use with this collection from Simple Stories. I added some sprinkles of color to my white background using some Catherine Pooler ink in matching colors. I backed the cut file using papers from the Sunshine and Blue Skies 6x8 paper pad and popped it up on my background. The photo is a pool photo of two of our boys. I did mute the colors a little bit of the pool water to match the collection a little better. I used the Color Story app on my phone to do this. I used some chipboard, die cuts, and stickers to embellish around the cut file and the photo.
I also added an epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio. I love adding enamel dots around my pages as well so I found some in yellow and placed around the page! I added a couple sun stickers to the inside of a couple letters and popped them up to add some dimension. Here is a look at my completed layout using the Sunshine and Blue Skies collection from Simple Stories.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you will stop on over to the A Cherry on Top shop and check out all the summer products available to get your summer memories documented. Have a great day!
