Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

First, I took the papers that I chose (mine are KaiserCraft, but you can choose anything) and laid them over the chipboard, moving them around until I got the combination that I found pleasing to my eye.  There is no steadfast rule here…my only suggestion is that if you are using white calendar pieces, that the bottom half of the calendar be something other than white!<\/p>\n

I normally chalk everything, but since this project is so large (24 inches by 12 inches), i decided to paint them.  I painted both the large scalloped piece, as well as the 2 smaller bracket pieces.<\/p>\n

also…if you are using a pattern paper on the top….remember that there will be a chipboard title covering up some of it.  That is why I threw that nekkid chipboard there!<\/p>\n

so….now we are going to talk about proportions .  Since the calendar sheet will be on the bottom, you need to make sure that the paper that you chose for the bottom is pretty much 12×12….you can skimp on the top a little, and then just cover the scallop in a contrasting paper.<\/p>\n

Or….if you want to make it easy…you don’t need a third paper.  It is totally up to you.  It is YOUR project.<\/p>\n

ok…so them I adhered the paper (I used Scrappy Glue) and used an exacto knife to trim the paper.  You can use scissors, but with the scallop there, I totally recommend the Exacto knife.<\/p>\n

I used my Xyron to cover the smaller bracket pieces.  I ran it through, and then used the (you guessed it!) Exacto knife to trim.  THEN, crazy me….ran it through again, and covered the OTHER side in a different paper. <\/p>\n

OK….now that the base is done you can embellish how ever you want.
 <\/p>\n

.I took strips of paper, used a border punch, and added it to either side of my red paper.<\/p>\n

I then hand cut a flower, took some stickles and highlighted the red parts.<\/p>\n

I adhered the flower using pop dots…this is important, because the chipboard title needs to be able to slip underneath if you change the title.<\/p>\n

I added a ribbon, and a calendar sheet that I printed off the internet. (with brads, so they can be changed )<\/p>\n

Lastly, I added the title with a brad (so that it could be changed )<\/p>\n

OK…the fact that I showed you the base is important \":-D\"<\/p>\n

The smaller chipboard pieces come 2 to a package, so I covered each side with different papers, and made different titles:<\/p>\n

When I don’t want to use it as a calendar, i can use it as a chore chart for the kids:<\/p>\n
