\tAd Inspiration Challenge – By MamaK321 (Kristianne)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPaper or Digital Scrapbooking<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tAd inspiration is about taking ideas, such as colors, patterns, title or keywords, theme, font styles, and element placement, and using them to create your own layout. You can break the ad inspiration down to a basic sketch, copy a prominent design straight from the ad, or you can alter a design to fit your own layout. Most ads are 8.5×11" but you can adapt the ad to fit any size. Remember, this is not a sketch and you are not required to follow every detail. The key is to really LOOK at the ad and find the pieces that INSPIRE you!<\/p>\n

\tAltered Object Challenge<\/span> – By JulesinParadise (Jules)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPaper or Hybrid Scrapbooking<\/p>\n

\t<\/span><\/span>Everyone has some in their house. If you got an order from ACOT, you got a lovely 12×12 sheet of it included to protect your papers during shipping. The product is corrugated cardboard. Your challenge this month is to use any or all of this on either a card, a layout or an altered project such as the ribbon holder I made here. I plan on making one for each of the major colors for my most used ribbons. There is one stipulation to this challenge… you must show some of the corrugation as I did in one of the corners.<\/p>\n

\tI don't know if you are like me or not but I have the hardest time using tags on my cards and layouts. So I want you to create an Easter card with a tag on it. It can be a handmade tag, sticker tag or even a plain old tag. Just use one to embellish your Easter card.<\/p>\n

\tI can't believe spring is here! It has been such a long winter. \":-D\" For this color challenge, I am challenging you to do something I don't do very often… create a layout using mostly pastels. Pale yellow, pink, light green, sky blue, peach, and my favorite pastel, lavendar. Your layout must include at least 3 pastels and they must be about 75% of the layout. Here is my example, using Kay Eflin's gorgeous new kit, "To Dye For."<\/p>\n

\tCountdown Challenge<\/span><\/span> <\/span>– By sarahwhithers (Jennifer)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t<\/span><\/span>For this challenge you will create a layout using a countdown method of items. I will list five different kinds of things (eg. elements, papers, photos) for you to use in your layout. Every month there will be five new items for you to use. This month I'm doing a Spring\/Easter theme in hopes that it will start to get nice and warm quick!<\/p>\n

\t5 – Flowers
\t4 – Ribbons or Strings
\t3 – Pastel Colored papers
\t2 – Yellow Elements
\t1 – Bird Element<\/p>\n

\tYou are welcome to use more than these items (eg. 5 ribbons instead of 4 is fine) just as long as you meet the required list and numbers asked for each. A page is seen below.<\/p>\n

\tDo you have a Cricut, Silhouette, Sizzix or other die-cutting machine? For the month of April, I challenge you to create a layout with a title that you've created with a die-cut machine! Make sure you list the the machine and\/or the cartridges you've used!<\/p>\n

\tFor my layout, I've used the Cricut Graphically Speaking cartridge for the title and the Accent Essentials cartridge to create the circle and scallop circle. Have fun!<\/span><\/p>\n

\tAPRIL FAITHBOOKING CHALLENGE – At Calvary<\/p>\n

\t"William R. Newell was best known as a Bible teacher, commentator, pastor, and professor. Yet while on his way to teach a class at Moody Bible Institute one day, the words of this hymn began to form in his mind. He didn't want to forget these ideas, so he went into an unoccupied classroom and there scribbled the words on the back of an envelope. A few minutes latr he gave the words to Daniel B. Towner, the director of music at the school. Within an hour Towner had composed the music for them.<\/p>\n

\t"The first three stanzas tell the testimony of the Christian; the final stanza praises God for the greatness of divine love, the depth of grace, and the breadth of mercy. Since Newell is best known for a commentary on the book of Romans, it is no surprise that the last stanza bears a resemblance to Romans 11:33, "Oh, how great are God's riches and wisdom and knowledge!"<\/p>\n
