Re: Scrap a Day, January 29th
Barb, glad that your cough is starting to subside, hope it's gone completely soon. Vicki, enjoy your family time and football. Just finished cleaning and doing laundry. Have the bathroom remodeling guy coming today. We went shopping yesterday all day for tile, flooring etc. So overwhelmed. I don't ...

Re: Scrap a Day, January 29th
Hi Cherries! I'm fighting the crud too. So's DH. He's had it a few days longer than I have. It's a NASTY one! I could hardly rest last night because my face and head hurt so much! It's better today but I'm exhausted. Steve's very weak from it too. He's been coughing more than me but when I ...

Re: JANUARY 2023 SKETCH With a Twist Challenge
I know you said paper layouts, only, and this is digi, but I did use beloved Basic Grey (albeit digital). Most of the elements are from that "Black Tie" collection, including the tags. It's fine if you don't want to count it. I loved the sketch! :) https://sbing.com/i/gallery2/488014-700...

Re: Scrap a Day, January 29th
Barb, I'm glad you're getting better!! And crafting!! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈) Cherries, it's rainy and chilly here, but I've got on my sunlamp, per usual. I REALLY recommend them to everyone! They help boost my mood because they mimic natural sunlight. I've been getting crafty a little bit here and there, ...

Re: Scrap a Day, January 29th
Hi Cherries from the artic tundra It is currently 2 degrees with an 11 below wind-chill. We have a wind chill advisory right now and the high is only going to be 5. It is very pretty outside as the sky is so blue and the sun is shinning. We got a little fresh snow the other day and it is just spark...

Re: Scrap a Day, January 29th
Glad you are seeing some improvement, Barb! Vicki, we have the same overcast, waiting on rain today. It will melt all of our snow, for sure. Here is the layout I finished last night for the Manufacturer with a Twist, using my digital Basic Grey. :) https://sbing.com/i/gallery2/487957-700.jpg Also...

Re: January Mixed manufacturer challenge
Here is mine. :) This is exactly how I love to scrap and I added a challenge to myself to use items all off of one storage disc (I have almost 200 discs storing my digi files!). I used the following: Template and hearts by Chrissy W. Black background paper by Silvia Romeo Red scalloped paper by A...

Flora, you are still in my prayers. Glad they were able to remove the tumor. I hope the medications start working to fight the infection. Hugs!

Re: January 2023 Manufacturer with a Twist Challenge.
This is digital Basic Grey (wish they would've kept that going, because they already had so many collections online and I couldn't afford them all at the time). For my twist, I used beads. :) The whole layout is the Black Tie collection, with the exception of some tiny embellishments from a few ot...

Yes! It helps if you iron on some fabric interfacing, so it is stiffer, but yes!JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 7:07 pmI've sooo been wanting to buy some of their fabric with no idea what to do with it. Now I KNOW: just treat it like paper! Lol!

Did you know?
Basic Grey still makes fabric in their gorgeous patterns with a company called Moda? I had no idea! We had a challenge way back when where we used fabric on our layouts. Just a thought for those who miss their Basic Grey! (Google the company and find their website.)

Re: Scrap a Day, January 28th
Busy day with housework and trying to organize my digi files. LOL Sun was shining, but it is deceptively cold, so I stayed inside and played on my computer. Now, my shoulders are sore and I need to relax with a glass of vino!

Re: Scrap a Day, January 27th
Hello cherries. A cold, drizzly day here so I have venison chili cooking in the crock pot. Later, I'll make some cornbread. Yesterday was nice. Work was easy peasy - didn't get any emails until after 4pm (which I didn't get to until 10AM this morning). Spent a few hours answering calls and texting....

Re: January 2023 Manufacturer with a Twist Challenge.
Ooh! Did you know that Basic Grey did digi lines of several of their papers?! If it is okay, I will use one of those for this challenge.
I bought several....now, I'm glad, because I will never run out of Basic Grey!

Re: Scrap a Dat, January 27th
Lol I just saw my typo on the title of this post! ~insert eyeroll~ I saw most of the ones from when my kids were little, like the Little Mermaid, Cinderella, The Lion King, etc. but a lot of the ones like Toy Story I had never seen. My DD has loved Stitch for years yet I had never seen Lilo & S...

Re: Scrap a Dat, January 27th
Still sunny and cold out but sky not exactly blue. Rain coming in by Sunday and starting to look a bit more hazy out. I’m a bit grumpy today. I have some minor gastro intestinal issues which are mostly kept in check by diet and/or not getting too stressed. A lot of stress lately with Christmas, wor...

Re: Scrap a Dat, January 27th
Bright sunny day here, but still cool, in the 40’s. Yesterday we headed south into Phoenix where it would be warmer. And it was! Beautiful and in the 60’s! And DH took me to a real live Scrapbook store!!! What a treat! Just let me loose in the candy shop. To see all these beautiful collections in t...

Re: Scrap a Dat, January 27th
Well, I got another surprise snow day, today! Two 3-day weekends in a row is really going to make me unmotivated to work. LOL Yesterday, we had snow flurries all day (on top of the other snow that didn't melt from Wednesday), and then the wind picked up and it got to 19 degrees, so blowing, drif...
