Re: Scrap a Day, October 19th

Not much going on here either. Weather cooling down a degree or two each day but still upper 80’s which is a good 10 degrees above average for now. My Christmas cards are coming along nicely. I need about 18 more for myself and then usually make cards for a friend (I work for food lol) but she only ...

Re: WYR 10-19

I would prefer an apple tree. Where I live you see all kinds of citrus trees growing in people’s yards but had apple tree growing up and liked it. Also nasty fig tree. Ick. I was the kid who had to clean up under that thing. Oh and we had a lovely peach tree too. Grew up in the country obviously. lol

Re: Scrap a Day, October 17th

Still pretty warm here in afternoons. But they say today is last day in 90’s. I’ll believe that if it happens! lol. Nights are great though-down in 50’s with lovely cool early mornings. I am so ready for full on autumn. Still making Christmas cards. Lower back/sacroiliac bother me if I am at scrap t...

Re: Scrap a Day, October 12th

Well 85 and sunny here today but at least all the smoke is gone gone gone. We have had 4-5 nice fall days in the 70’s but warming up again into low 90’s through Saturday. Only good things nights will still cool down to 60! Nothing much going on this week. Today usual sweeping and tidying. Need to ma...

Re: Scrap a Day, October 9th

Ugh. I’m masking up and going out today. Taking Taco Bell to 89 year old aunt in senior living facility. She is irascible to say the least but when she calls and needs or just wants something, I go over. During “these trying times” lol I have been ordering or just dropping off at front desk but now ...

Re: Scrap a Day, October 5th

Good Morning (still morning here in California).  I too have been playing the housewife this Monday morning.   Thought I got through the long hot summer without ants this year, but NOPE.  For the past 4-5 days I have battled them.  Each day I totally eliminate them wherever they pop up only to have ...

Re: Scrap a Day, October 4th

Sons are deer hunting so no Sunday supper to cook. So I’m making Christmas cards today. Still pretty warm and a little smoky here. Good day to turn the Bose waay up and play at my scrap table. Might even put on my shoes later and buy fast food for my own supper.
Have a great Sunday

Re: Scrap a Day, September 28th

72 degrees and hazy. Going for high of 94 today. Sigh where’s autumn when you want it? Today my middle child and baby boy turns 51! Usually we all go to dinner and come back to my house for dessert and cards & gifts. But nowhere to go to dinner here. No dine in places open yet in our county. Plus ol...

Re: Scrap a Day, September 24th

Nice fall day here too. Mid 80’s today and tomorrow with cool night in the 50’s then Poof just like that back to summer temps starting on Saturday. A solid week of mid 90’s to 100+. Sigh. But then the heat is over for the season and we slide into lovely fall temps . Yaay Going out to lunch with a fr...

Re: Scrap a Day, September 21st

Weather is decent today. Got most of what I needed to do outside done already cause will b too hot for this old lady in the afternoon. Have a few dishes to wash up then going to make a dinosaur card for youngest grandchild. Don’t actually have a dinosaur stamp but do have cute dragon stamps and he’s...

Re: Scrap a Day, September 15th

Good Morning. Still a bit smoky here but not really bad. Only 66 at 9:30 heading for a high of 88. Smoke keeps our temps down too. Friend coming over for lunch and visit today. I’ve been card making and kitchen table is covered with my scrappy stuff. Wonder how she would like to eat on TV trays in l...

Re: Scrap a Day, September 10th

Well no sun yet this morning due to smoke. Dry chapped lips, dry burning eyes, sore throat and headache is what nearly two weeks of daily smoke filled skies will give you. I’m back to just staying home mostly. I could barely tolerate the mask for any length of time before and now the heck with it. M...
