Does this make me evil?

Post by Flasher » Tue Jun 18, 2019 10:35 am

I have had my eye out for a vintage kitchen canister set from the 50's.  I love it -- it reminds me of my grandma.  Anyway, I found a set on Etsy a few weeks ago and have been waiting for payday to come.  Apparently I wasn't the only one waiting for payday, because there was only one canister set available, but it was in 8 peoples carts!!  This isn't the actual one I purchased (for some reason I can only access the text for that purchase).  But here is another set, not in the best of shape.

I pushed that "Buy It Now" button and celebrated my purchase.  And, I didn't feel bad at all for those 7 other people.  In fact, I was so happy I beat them to the punch.  Apparently, I have a teeny tiny mean streak.
I don't know what my spirit animal is, but I'm pretty sure it has rabies.

Yeah, when they say something is in more carts than they have available, I cheer for me, too! I guess that makes me your evil twin. 👺

Isn't there a saying "The early bird gets the worm."  Obviously, you were the early bird.  Congratulations!  Cute set.

That's such a cool canister set! I love vintage stuff. I have a ton of red vintage stuff in my kitchen and a cookie jar like my grandma had.

I think ebay brings that out in people. It's the victory of winning or something.
I'm glad you got it!

Cute set! Hey, you snooze, you lose! Maybe they forgot they did that. I often put things in a cart and then completely forget about it. If that makes you feel any less evil, but it seems we're all celebrating with you LOL!
Happy Scrapping!

Good for you! Just because someone puts it in their cart doesn't always mean that they will buy it. I generally don't put things in my cart until I am ready to checkout and pay.

Nope.  A lot of people put things in their carts and then forget about them.  If they really wanted it they would have hit the purchase button.  Enjoy!
