What's Cooking - 01/16/2020

Post by Monroe1218 » Thu Jan 16, 2020 4:49 pm

Happy Friday EVE!!!  It's been a long week and there's still another work day left to go!

The potluck last night was very good!  Lots of yummy food!  Tonight, we are having leftover beef stew and cornbread.  If there is any left after tonight, I'll either freeze it or send to my brother in law.

I'm a really bad leftover eater - but beef stew is one of the few things that I think is better as leftovers.  What is something that you think is better the next day?

What's for dinner at your house tonight?

I think Chili and lasagna are better the next day.

I think we are having Tacos tonight, haven't committed to that yet but leaning that way. LOL

Chili, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, stew all  make pretty good leftovers the next day

Not sure what we're having. Last night we ordered pizza and ate leftovers for lunch. Its either tostadas or mac and cheese with beer battered fish

I have a pork roast in the crock pot for pulled pork sandwiches.  I think we will have macaroni salad with it.
I think most soups and stews, chili, spaghetti all taste better the next day.

I think Chili is better the next day.

We had a late lunch so I'm going to do some more leftovers of the chicken fajita pasta and then toss the rest.

Tonight, I am having some chicken cordon bleu with brussel sprouts.   Leftovers are hard for me as well but I do agree that stews, chili, soups seem to be better the next day.  The day after that, I'm over it, lol
