huh? lol

Post by CarrieG » Sat Apr 04, 2020 1:17 pm

i had to run to our local groc store yesterday evening....i was out of baking powder....ugh  so i figured i would grab a few things while i was out....

they finally had a great selection of fresh fruits EXCEPT bananas---those are a rarity  i grabbed some green apples and some tangelos....

fast forward to the checkstand...the checker said to me....."wow you bought apples and oranges....i NEVER see ppl buy them both at the same time!"

i didnt realize it was odd to buy them together....lol

do you buy apples and oranges at the same time????????????????????????

Why would people NOT buy them together?  Right now we have no fresh fruit or veggies in our house but hope to get some in my Pea Pod order on Monday.

That's funny! Right now we have oranges and grapes. Usually have some bananas, but they keep getting ripe too quickly.

I hope you get them too. I was able to get bananas and apples and celery, carrots, a package of tri color peppers, and zucchini in my order yesterday. Oh and also red potatoes and onions, both sweet and regular.

There is a local company that offers fresh produce coming from WA.  In it they have bananas, apples, oranges, kiwi, and pineapple. Also potatoes, onion, lettuce, cucumber, celery and a tomato.  You just pay for the boxful and they put it in your vehicle.

Oh, don’t worry they were! But honestly, we always are getting our produce from somewhere else, because Montana sure doesn’t grow it!!! Except delicious Flathead cherries!!!

I always buy apples, oranges and bananas.  If they have good grapes, and they aren't outrageously priced, I buy them, as well.  Peaches, pears, cherries, melons, I save for summer buying.

What's odd is that she would mention that!  I always buy apples and oranges together!

Oh, and for all those that have bananas that ripen too quickly, they make great banana bread.  :greeninlove:
