Flashback Friday 10-16

Post by Flasher » Fri Oct 16, 2020 9:29 am

So, how many Cherries have ever slept on one of these babies?  I'm talking about the original, old school version -- not the current day version!

My aunt and uncle had one in the early 70's.  I thought it was so cool as a kid.  Flopping and rolling around was fun.  My boyfriend in the late 80's had one and I remember when he got it and him running the hose up to his window and into the bed.  The water was ICE cold , and so was that water matress.  Fun as a kid, weird as an adult.

Now, I'm sure today's water beds are much more comfortable.  Very much unlike the original giant water bubble!

that's a water bed, right? I knew so many people who had them back in the day and yes, I've slept on plenty. I was just thinking about them the other day, how popular they were and that no one uses them anymore.

I never slept on one but a friend used to have one and I tried it out. I wasn’t a fan.

An original waterbed! I had a friend who had one - never saw the attraction. The water moved around and felt weird.

We had one for many years in the 80's. Kept getting holes and we'd patch it, til finally had to throw it out.

Man I get seasick just standing on the dock. No way I would ever sleep on a waterbed. But two of my kids had them in late teens. They liked them .
