Re: lost my humor?
Hmm... I have been cracking up over them for a couple of days.
Some are a stretch, but others make me laugh. I do feel like I have lost some of my sense of patience and empathy during this pandemic though. I just can't deal with all the stupidity and it has made me feel sort of mean, especially at school, where I need to remember that kids don't know better and need to learn. smh

Okay, I had to ask a co-worker what it was all about - I honestly don’t watch the news and only look at certain social media items. So I didn’t watch any part of the inauguration I didn’t know what it was about, but I never watch it.

Re: lost my humor?
I don't watch the news and didn't watch the inauguration either, and I am not on FB, so I had to look it up. Best one… sitting on the bench with Forest Gump. LOL!

Re: lost my humor?
I think the thing that strikes me funny isn’t the mittens, but the irritated, old-man body language and look on his face. He is aggravated to have to sit there! I feel ya, Bernie!

Re: lost my humor?
Hi everyone! Is my name a blast from the past? Lol!
I haven't scrapped in several years, but am kinda feeling the itch to maybe start again, so stopped into my favorite scrapping community.
Yes, I have lost some of myself. I've lost patience with those who long to "get out of the house" when I long to spend a few days in it (I am an ER nurse.....no days off for me).
I've lost friendships with people who think burying their head in the sand will make those who think differently change their minds. I've lost patience with the lack of human touch in so many aspects of life. I hate the concept "don't gather with your family this year so that they will be here next year." Well, I lost my 5 yr old niece the day after Christmas 2019, and if that concept would have been in place then I would never have seen her 5th birthday nor her last Christmas. No, she didn't die from covid, but it was tragic none the less.
I could go on but I didn't mean to turn morbid.
On a plus note. I celebrate taking a huge step that has made my life so much better! I moved out of cold Michigan to Tennessee, and am loving it here. I left a job of 18 years for a new one, but hated the new one. I felt free enough to quit again and am now loving my newest job...oddly enough with the same organization I worked for when in Michigan. I celebrate the first time my husband and I have been without kids EVER (he is my second husband, and I had 4 kids at home yet when we married), and we are having fun exploring Tennessee together.
The only thing that never changes in life is that life changes. I could choose to mourn the losses, but I choose to celebrate the good side of change.

OK, I'm with Becca . . . I had no idea what this thread was about so I Googled it.

Be the reason someone smiles today . . . or the reason they drink. Whatever works.

I am enjoying all the Bernie photos. I think it is adorable and it makes me smile.
Glad you are back, Nancy. I hope you can find some time to relax and scrap a bit.

Hi Nancy! I have missed you! I was just thinking of you the other day as I have been doing a lot of journaling on my layouts lately and it made me think of you and how much great journaling you always did on your layouts! I am so glad to see you back and hope you stick around and start scrapping again! We have such a wonderful community here and so many great challenges every month! Glad you are well and happy with your relocation and new job. Many ((hugs)) on losing your very young niece. That is so tragic. Hope to start seeing your wonderful work in the gallery soon!Ayla wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:48 amHi everyone! Is my name a blast from the past? Lol!
