WINNER October Guest Designer Challenge 2

Post by writerlady » Mon Oct 19, 2015 6:07 pm

Hi ladies - what a great job you all did! Using Random.Org, the winner is Retiree3. Congratulations!

Update - Project Life cards will be allowed for matting photos, as it was pointed out to me that I used them. I did not omit them on purpose. Have fun!
October Guest Designer Challenge #2

Recipe Challenge
Image

I made this layout using the items below. I’d like you to give it a try. If you are not familiar with multi media, you can just use a bottle of Heidi Swapp Color Shine or some other kind of spray and unscrew the top. Using the sprayer part, just tap on it over your paper and the ink will come out the end and leave dots on your paper. Perfection is never the goal, ok? I hope you will give this a try!

More than 1 photo
Only 1 piece of Pattern Paper (no cardstock or other paper at all)
2 Fonts for title
multi media – I used a stencil with ink and Heidi Swapp Color Shine in 3 colors.
2 or more washi tape
Wood veneer or chipboard (or both for 2 chances to win)
Labels or stickers

There will be a $5 gift card awarded to a randomly chosen winner! Hope you all play along.

 Now for the rules:
- You may enter one layout for this contest.
- Layouts can be paper or digital
- The layout must be a NEW original creation, not scraplifted.
- You MUST provide a detailed listing of all the products used to create your page in your description of the entry.
- Must be a new layout

This layout is due on November 5.

Love your example piece. I've been thinking about using some of the stencils I've been hoarding--now here's my chance!

Can you clarify the due date, please?

Ackkkkkk......NO pattern paper says the queen of patterned paper???  LOL......Okay, I can do this....I can do this....I HOPE I can do this......

So one question:  I think I can find a piece of heavy patterned paper (otherwise it won't hold up to the mixed media).  But what did you use to mat your photos on your example???????

Oops - PL cards. Still no pattern paper, but PL cards allowed for matting. Thank you for keeping me honest. It was not an intentional error.

My paper and sticker was from a free Harry Potter kit. The 3 Washi and "Sweet" font were freebies from Britt. The paints were also freebies that I resized and played with the colors. Big drips from Vi Va, CreateWings Design for the small black dots of paint and WendyP in the clouds splatter. The wood veneer from Gina Cabrera. All freebies. My daughter and stepdaughter both like Slytherin.

Here is mine! This was a fun challenge and a great recipe!

My one paper is from Echo Park's Wintertime line. For my multi media I used a Heidi Swapp Stencil to make the hearts using Bo Bunny Glitter Paste. I also used multi media on my wood veneer… two wood veneer snowflakes that I painted with Heidi Swapp Teal Texture Paste mixed with Faber-Castell Silver Texture Luxe. I then glued a Jolee's snowflake on top.
