March 2016 Disney Challenge - Winner Chosen

Post by Scrap Bug » Wed Mar 02, 2016 3:34 pm

And the winner is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Retiree3!!!   Via the random name picker  Donna - I have your GC - should be in your PM folder

FYI:   After much thought, I have decided to pair down the Disney Challenge.  I'm not getting rid of it altogether, but will only be posting the challenges every other month for now and see how it goes, so next month (April) there won't be a Disney Challenge.  We haven't been getting a lot of participation, which is fine and I understand due to the specific nature of the challenge, although most of the challenges I try not to make exclusive to Disney so it is more doable for everyone, but I think most ppl here don't realize it so skip it altogether.  Anyway, I have a hard time coming up with ideas every month, and I think it's a challenge that will be better off doing less to maybe make more impact when I do post it, if that makes sense.

So with that said, we ARE having a challenge this month so here it is:

This month's Disney theme is: COLOR PALETTES

I've chosen 5 different Disney layouts that our members have posted and created a color palette based on each one.  Go ahead and pick whichever palette you would like and create a layout/card/project based on that color palette.  The colors do NOT have to be exact or all, just an overall color scheme that is easy to tell that it is based on that color scheme/palette.

You may pick the same color scheme/palette for your second entry (if you wish to create a 2nd entry, but if you choose a different palette I will give you an extra point.

This is open to non Disney layouts as well, Disney related layouts will receive an extra entry point.

This challenge is for layouts/cards/projects
Multiple entries allowed
Combining allowed

This runs through the last day of March, post your completed creation here AND in the challenge section in the gallery before midnight April 1st 2016 your timezone.

Winner will be picked by random name picker and will receive a $5 gift certificate to ACOT.

I am a Disney lover, so I am sad that the challenges will drop down, but I sure do understand the reason why.  So those of us who DO this challenge will just have more fun doing them because we had to wait a month in between each one!  Thinking positive here!   Thanks for keeping this going!
Autumn is the season that teaches us that change can be beautiful.

I am kind of bummed there will be less Disney Challenges since that is my most favorite things to scrap but I understand. On the other hand, it will give me a little more time to complete the challenge!  If I think of any ideas for challenges I will send you a PM ;)

Love the color palette challenge!

Wonderful challenge. And its completely understandable to do this challenge every other month. It takes time to come up with challenge ideas. I do really like this color scheme challenge though!

Very cool challenge - although I've never been to Disney and therefore don't have any photos, I love the color palettes so I hope to join this month!

I too changed my challenge. Lack of interest is a factor, but I just could not come up with the ideas like I thought I would. I am trying a different one this month, we will see how it goes. Love the color idea here!

Totally understand your reasoning!  This challenge is very imaginative and I love how you pulled other Cherries' LO's for the palettes!
Hope this one is OK, i did GD Nancy's colouring challenge with colours from Shannon's LO.

Here is my entry. I chose the first color scheme. I also added a Disney character because the title just cried goofy, lol!

Great job with the color scheme - and I agree!  Goofy finishes the layout just perfect.

I love how you incorporated that color scheme.  I was hoping someone would do it, blue and purple are my favorite colors.  It fits in perfect with the wizard  hat.

Love the wild leafy theme.  We went ziplining in MX several years ago and loved it.  So much fun.  Thanks for doing the challenge!
