March Spelling Challenge - winner

Post by Sandi0805 » Thu Mar 03, 2016 10:13 pm

Thanks to all the cherries who participated this month.   I loved seeing all the wonderful layouts created by everyone.  Now to the winner.  By random.org the winner this month is:     blfonty.  Congrats Bonnie.  I will order your gift card shortly.

March is the month for St. Patrick's Day, leprechauns, shamrocks, 4 leaf clovers, luck and the color green.  So this month  I have chosen the word "SHAMROCK" .   Either pick a manufacturer or the name of an item (ex:  enamel dot for an E or Doodlebug for a D) for each letter of the word.  You can not use the same item twice on the layout.  (Meaning, if there are two E's then enamel dots can only be used once).  You can use the same manufacturer more than once though.  For example,  MME paper for the letter M and MME enamel dots for an E.    Hope this makes sense.  Any questions ask here on the thread or pm me.

Here are the rules:  We gotta have them.

1.  Must be a new.  Layouts only.  Can be paper or digital.
2.  Must post to this thread.  No gallery spot.
3.  Must be posted to this thread by March 31, 2016.
4.  Multiple entries allowed, but limit of three.
5.  May combine with one other challenge that allows combining.
6.  A 2 page layout will count as one entry and items can be on one page only or on both.
7.  You must list your items to be counted in the drawing.

** Bonus entries:
      If your layout has a shamrock or 4 leaf clover anywhere on it you will get an extra entry.
      If you use the colors green, white, black or gold  you will get an extra entry.   You may use as much of these colors, but these  colors only.  You do not have to use all 4 colors on one layout.   (ex:  you may choose to use green and white only).

I will chose for a winner of a $5 gc.

Can't wait to see everyone's layouts.  Have fun.

Here's one of my layouts using two of those colors only:

This layout is using greens and white only

Woo Hoo!  Only 7 days in to the month and I have completed TWO challenges!  I am determined to re-engage with the ACOT community and I find the challenges are always a good way of doing that (not to mention pushing me!).

S = Stickers + "Sprinkles" Thickers (really old vinyl letters)
H = Heidi Swapp mini stamps
A = "All American" collection from Bella Blvd (the cloud paper)
M = My Minds Eye "Lush" collection (the polka dot paper strip)
R = Red Twine on the papers strips
O = October Afternoon mist "Twilight"
C = Circle die cut (old Jellybean Soup die cut sheet)
K = K&Co paper - the white paper is the backside of a rather ugly sheet from a paper pad (part of my quest to use my stash even if I have to re-purpose what I don't like)

Here's my page for this challenge.  I used the colors green, white, black and gold exclusively for the extra bonus.  I can't believe I didn't have ONE shamrock in my stash!!!
S=Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Squares (to pop up the small green heart and the vellum title)
H=Heidi Swapp Chip Heart (the green zigzag heart within the pearls heart)
A=American Crafts black cardstock (base)
M=MME papers from Quite Contrary and So Sophie collections
R=Rickrack from Wrights
O=Ormolu heart stamps (the crossstitch hearts I added all over the gold paper base)
C=Colorbox Ink black (around papers, title, and photos)
K=K&Co. Vellum Quote Title (Thinking of You Makes Me Happy)

I combined your challenge with the March What's On TV? challenge.
