August Spelling Challenge - Winner

Post by Sandi0805 » Fri Aug 05, 2016 10:01 pm

All the entries this month were wonderful.   The winner this month is "suemo".  Congrats and I will order your gift card shortly.

Sorry, this is so late.  Not sure where this week went and how quickly time is flying by.  So, since today is my birthday, I have chosen the word "BIRTHDAY".

Please read the following as to what is allowed to use for the letters.   You may use the first letter of colors (ex:  R for red).  Or pick a manufacturer, the collection name, the name of paper etc.  (ex: B for  BoBunny or F for the firecracker collection) or the name of an item (ex:  E for enamel dot)  for each letter of the word.  You can not use the same item twice on the layout.  (Meaning, if there are two E's then enamel dots can only be used once).  You can use the same manufacturer more than once though.  For example,  MME paper for the letter M and MME enamel dots for an E.    Hope this makes sense.  Any questions ask here on the thread or pm me.

BONUS ENTRY OPTIONS:
If your layout has a birthday theme you will get an extra entry.
If you scraplift one of my layouts (it does not have to be a birthday layout) you will get an extra entry. (must show the layout you lift).
If you have a birthday theme and scraplift one of my layouts you will get 2 extra entries for a total of 3 entries this month.

Here are the rules:  We gotta have them.

1.  Must be new.  Layouts only.  Can be paper or digital.
2.  Must post to this thread.  No gallery spot.
3.  Must be posted to this thread by August 31, 2016.
4.  Multiple entries allowed, but limit of three.
5.  May combine with one other challenge that allows combining.
6.  A 2 page layout will count as one entry and items can be on one page only or on both.
7.  You must list your items to be counted in the drawing for a gift card.

Can't wait to see what everyone creates this month.

Here's a couple of my birthday layouts I've done.  (You can scraplift any of my layouts if you choose.  It does not have to be a birthday layout).

AWESOME CHALLENGE, birthday twin! If it wasn't for my refrigerator completely breaking down, yesterday would have been a perfect day. I love the suggestion of using colors for the letters in "birthday" since a good birthday party needs lots of colors! After finishing a LO already in process, I plan on working on this challenge next. How FUN!!!

This one was hard for me. Every time I thought I had it, I was missing a letter. I often find these types of challenges difficult for me - like recipe challenges too. Used for 3 in a Row challenge also.

B - black, i - ink, r - roses, t - three photos, h - Happy Day layered chipboard, d - Doodlebug brads (flowers) or dragonflies take your pick, a - alphas, y - yellow
