September Holiday Challenge - UPDATED WITH WINNER
SEPTEMBER Holiday Challenge – 2016
THE WINNER FOR THIS MONTH - IS RETIREE3!!! Congrats and thanks to all who played!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a simpler challenge this month, again, no official holidays (my apologies to you ladies with birthdays/anniversaries, family events). So I should say, no nationally recognized holidays.
So I looked at my calendar (for something other than what I discovered!!) – and my finding was wow! I need some birthday cards fast!! So I’m going to ask you to make two of more fall themed birthday cards and post them as your entry. I chose autumn since September 22 actually is the first day of fall. Only little glitch is one of them needs to be made from scraps from one or more of the other hostesses’ challenges for this month! If you can, please tell us what challenge you did that you used the scraps from. I always love to see the new ideas.
Same fine print as always, after the September 30th deadline, I’ll randomly choose someone to win a $5 ACOT gift card. Have fun!

Re: September Holiday Challenge
I need to catch up on some birthday cards... only problem is--I keep getting behind and have to make belated birthday cards!

Re: September Holiday Challenge
In my home right now sits my niece and my SIL's birthday cards (with others) but their birthdays were in February. How BELATED is that? I almost feel is should be "EARLY" cards!!average_kim wrote:I need to catch up on some birthday cards... only problem is--I keep getting behind and have to make belated birthday cards!

While I commented in the gallery, these deserve an extra "way to go". I love these cards!

Re: September Holiday Challenge
I'm always needing cards, and this month, I really needed some birthday cards, so thanks for the challenge!!

The one on the left uses scraps from my card I made for the Sept. Card Challenge. (I actually cut into new papers for a card, because they matched the color choices she gave in the challenge.) The one on the right uses some of the scraps with added other papers.
Here's the one I made for Charlene-Anne's Sept. Card Challenge.

Re: September Holiday Challenge
It's so good to not be at my phone, I wanted to type more to thank you gals, starting with Ms. Brandy! These cards are simply lovely! I love when a card catches my eye, I seem to over embellish my cards, and I don't like that, I keep going just to see if I can get the Ta-Da!! moment, and you give me that without tons of things on the cards. Well done (I'm curtsying). Lol. Thanks for doing my challenge.
Re: September Holiday Challenge
Stacy, these are gorgeous!!!!!!! I love the browns and blacks, and the fall feel makes them even more elegant! I was looking at them in the gallery and thought "These weren't made from scraps!!!" I can't believe the talent! Thanks so much for doing my challenge!StacyLeeD wrote:This was a fun challenge, thank you! I went in opposite directions with my cards, I went for cute on one and pretty on the other. I used the scraps from my Key Deer layout on both, you can see it more in the cute card. The "celebrate" card has a scrap of the same dark brown paper for the tag.
Re: September Holiday Challenge
I am staring AGAIN, not to be repetitive, but you have no idea how badly I am at making cards, and you made it look so easy. I love LOVE that little squirrel, and what's more fallish than squirrels???? I love the colors, the design is perfect. I want to know how to do cards like these.average_kim wrote:I'm always needing cards, and this month, I really needed some birthday cards, so thanks for the challenge!!

The first one(Today Is Your Day) I used the scraps from my layout I made for the Use Your Stash/BFS #120 it is a card for my nephew. I also used scraps I had in a 6*6 pad I have for the second card, it is for a friend of mine.
