March 2018 Stash-kit challenge - winner chosen (finally)
Via the online random name picker, the winner is..............
sweetsour! Karrie - look for a little gift cert. in your inbox.
PS: if I missed anybody who completed this, let me know (names are below) and I will add you on to the next month's drawing that I do. I think I got everyone who said they complete it, but I know not everyone was able to get all their items used (like me), so just let me know if you did.
I've come up with a new challenge. I don't know that I'll do this every month, but when I do I will change up the rules a bit. It will involve making up a scrapping kit to pull elements from.
For this month, you will pick a total of 10 items for your kit. Choose 5 OLD items from your stash and 5 NEW items from your stash. This will mean different things for different people. If you have been scrapping a VERY long time like I have (1996), you will probably still have some very old items that you haven't been able to let go of. I challenge you to pull out items older than 10 years if You can, and pull out items newer than 5 years. If you haven't been scrapping quite that long, or you have purged all that really old stuff, I challenge you to pull out items older than 5 years, and newer than 2 years. If that doesn't fit, and you haven't been scrapping that long or don't have items that old, just pull out the oldest 5 items that you can think of, and then the newest 5 items that you can think of. If you can't remember exactly how long you've had something but know its been a really long time - just go for it, I'm not going to be a stickler about it.
NOTE: If you have a package of something with multiples like stickers, flowers, gems, etc., you don't have to use them all, just one item from the package will do, but do count that as 1 item - don't pull out a pkg of stickers and then count each one separate.
For this challenge there will be only one entry per participant. You may use all the items on one project, or you may spread them out amongst many throughout the month. All the items must be used by the end of the month.
Before you post pics of your projects using these items, you must post a picture of your stash-kit. You can then upload your projects here when you've finished, or you can save a spot and edit as you post one by one (easier for me to keep track of). Just make sure to let me know what items you've used and if you've completed the challenge.
IF you are a super motivated scrapper, you may gain a 2nd entry by doing a 2nd kit.
Combining is allowed

Re: March 2018 Stash-kit challenge
I thought this would be easy for me but it was not at all... I have a ton of old stuff but finding new stuff to go with printed photos...not so much but here goes:
OLD:
Creative Memories Alphas - complete
Creative Memories or Mrs. Grossman's Design Lines
ki Memories sparkles stickers - complete
Some Manufacturer....eyelets - complete
Some Manufacturer...Photo Slide frame
NEW or Newer:
Kaisercraft Daydreamer "Cute" paper
28 Lilac LANE embellishments - Just Peachy
WRMK Enamel Dots
Basic Grey Barista embellshments - used the twine but will use more as I counted the layout for BF#135 and GD #3; used more twine and the buttons from this for GD#2.
Doodlebug cardstock stickers puppy play
I just realized I have 6 items in the photo for the new part. I will omit the yellow ribbon from the challenge.

Re: March 2018 Stash-kit challenge

I wanted to do a mini as I have not done one for a long time... and recently I had found a kit I'd put together ages ago for vacay pix... but of course new lines came out and that old stuff got forgotten. Along comes the Stash-kit challenge for a kick in the butt to get it back out and use it!
So my 5 old things (pic 1) are: Bo Bunny Mango Luau papers & stickers bought here at ACOT Nov 2009, they are probably even older than that by release date! 2 BG chipboard albums, date on 1 of the packages is 2008, a 7Gypsies journal card dated 2005, Hobby Lobby felt flower stickers dated 2007, and K&CO Urban Rhapsody mat pad 2008.
5 new things (pic 2) are: Pretty Little Studio labels, and new to me (I have no idea of release dates) packages of gold trim & shaped clips I think from Target...a green striped tape still wrapped in plastic, and CE chipboard seashells.

The whole album uses the OLD album, and the papers and stickers from the line, so I won't mention with each pic.
This spread using: OLD 7Gypsies journal card, and NEW shaped clips and tape

This spread using: NEW PLS labels

This spread using: NEW gold trim, chipboard shells (and that is it using all the new stuff from the kit!)

The spread using OLD: Felt flowers

This spread using: OLD pages are from the Mat Pad, and that is all the OLD stuff used!

The album is not complete, and I've only posted one example of use of the items in the thread,
so I have used, and will use more from the kit, Will be adding other completed pages to my gallery as I go.
not counting in here just wanted to show still using the kit ~ the border from this kit for this card I put into the Music & Gone Girl chall's

Re: March 2018 Stash-kit challenge
***Updated --- this last day of the month, I uploaded my last 2 projects from this kit. I am so thankful that you started this challenge and getting us to mix the old and new together. Thanks!!!***

Here are two pictures of my stash kit - I did the old and new things separately. I have a lot of paper in it LOL!
A plethora of slide mounts (early-mid 2000s)
MME Dinosaur paper (mid 2000s)
Phrase Cafe stickers (early 2000s)
Rebecca Sower Fresh Cuts (early 2000s)
Making Memories rub on alphas (early-mid 2000s)

Heart cut file (Secret Not Secret Kit club)
Transparent die cut thingie (Bella Blvd I think)
Numbers paper (Studio Calico)
Happy 4x6 card (Paper Issues)
Thankful flag (Paper Issues)

-----
Here's my first page from this kit. I used the dino paper and a slide mount.

This page uses the Little Turkeys sticker from the Phrase Cafe stickers

This layout uses the Happy 3x4 card and one of the Rebecca Sower Fresh Cut tags.

this one uses some more slide mounts and another Phrase Cafe sticker. I combined with the Manufacturer challenge.

This one has the new "thankful" flag thingie on it - combined with the guest designer challenge #2

On this layout I used the new numbers paper and the old letter/number rubons. (PS and 5)

And on this layout I used the last unused things from my stash kit - the acetate word thingie and the hearts die cut!
