Post by Tammey » Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:19 am

Each month depending on my mood is what the challenge will be. It could be a recipe challenge, quote challenge, technique challenge, movie inspiration challenge, etc... I might run the same challenge for more than a month or change it up(the mood thing again). lol

This month I am the mood for fringes and stitches. You must used fringes on at least 3 places on your layout along with any type of stitching at least 2 places on your layout.

***Bonus***add a banner somewhere on your layout.

Interesting, I have this fringed banner with maps on it (and possibly even stitching) that I've had for years. I guess I should dig it out for this challenge.

I love your example, but I don't know if I've ever used fringes before. Thanks for challenging us!

You must have read my mind this morning.....I texted a neighbor to see if she had grass scissors for a project I am making (not yours). She didn't. Now I may have to try to buy a pair, if I can find some! Fun challenge!

Fringe is trendy right now. I suppose I need some fringe scissors.

I tried to post a reply to Melissa's double page layout thread and the screen said request can't be processed because if too many redirects or something like that. After reading others' replies here, I went and looked at the thread, and my reply had indeed been posted. How strange!

My fringes are on the circle. on the paper with the 2019, and at the paper at the bottom. I have stitching above my banner and on Aiden's name.
I also added a banner.

Here is mine. No bonus but I fringed 12 layers on this heart and machine stitched on 2 layers.

The paper strips I used are fringed and I used a fringe trim as well. I machine stitched around the white center and machine stitched a zig-zag at the top of the pink strip. This is a layout for my niece so the journaling spot is empty (she'll write in it). As this was her daughter's first birthday, I gave her plenty of space to write.

Here's mine using 3+ fringes and stitches. It's hard to see my fringes since I scan my layout, but they are all along the left border. I stitched along each of those, zig zag stitched around the layout, and added stitching to my journal tag. For the Bonus I used a Banner. :)

I combined with your Title Challenge, Tammey.

We spent the day at The Wilds and these are photos of the African Painted Dogs. They were fun to watch playing around, but we were told not to try touching them through the fence because they were wild and carnivores. (May 2018) :greeninlove:

I used fringed eyelash fibers (remember those!?) and stitched on the 2 cards and the big paper block.
