Winter Crop Mood Board Challenge *WINNER*

Post by Art_Teacher »

Randomly drawn winner of a $5 gift card to ACOT is scrappinmom99! :)

You know I love a good mood board.  :)   My current mood is "ready for snow!"  We have hardly had any this winter and it is supposed to snow tomorrow.  For this challenge, use the mood board below to inspire your layout.  You must use the color grey as one of your main colors (at least 50% greys), and choose 3 additional inspirations from the mood board.  Be sure to let us know what inspired you.

Image

I am different than most of the hostesses, and I prefer making a gallery spot for you to post your layouts in, because it is easier for me to see them all on one page  :greenwinkb: , so you have until the deadline to post your layout in the spot provided. Share it back here, too, and tell us what inspired you!

ONE entry per person
NO Combining with other challenges
NEW Layouts ONLY.
Open to paper and digi.
Due Date January 23 at midnight
I will use a random number generator to pick a winner for an ACOT $5 GC!

There are lots of little things that aren't "snowy."  Look closely! :)

LOL - for sure! I was just wishing about the joy of some of those scenes that I will never experience, that's all. I was already seeing elements that I could work with. Thanks for the encouragement and caring about me!

They are beautiful aren't they?  Most of the time, the reality isn't what the photos show, though...it's cold and wet! lol  You are very welcome! :)

Great Mood Board. My background cardstock is a dark gray and the patterned paper is also very grey. My 3 inspirations were the light post, the hearts (in the middle of some snowflakes) and the snow covered trees.

Lovely mood board. Image Image

I was inspired by the snow (snowflakes and white edges to layout), hearts (heart on tag), wood (wooden hearts), sparkling snow and lights (nuvo sparkling drops), and windows/glass (vellum layer under photo). I also scrapped this photo of the girls in their fleece hoodies and woodland character pants as the photo fit the mood board so well! The colors are truer in the second photo, it's a medium grey background, dark grey photo mat, and aqua blue snowflake paper for the accent and tag.

I was inspired by the soft color blue, the hearts and also the branches that are so much of my one photo. It is not winter time but made it work. I used three of my Grandmother's antique buttons on the layout. 50% gray used, including hearts and words.Image

I used snowflakes, white, snow cover pine needles, & a heart(white heart behind the "W") and the background and snowflake dies are grey.

I have Grey's, teals, and pinks for my color scheme. From the mood board I found:
-hearts (I used some hearts patterned papers, and a puffy sticker)
-rabbit in a photo (I have my mom's bunny in a photo)
-windows ( I have squares/grids/screens)
- grey socks with pink pom-poms (I have pink and grey)

Here's my entry. I have mostly all grey on my page and I was inspired by the snow, hearts and the animal.
