DRINK CARRIER CLASS HERE!!!

Post by ChrissyTina »

Good morning ladies! Those of you that were curious about what we're doing with the drink carrier and the household items, WAIT NO FURTHER! Here is what we will be making!

Image

I am going to let you guys take a look at this while I go grab some coffee real quick! I forgot about time zones and all of that so I had to set my alarm to make sure I was up!! It's 6 in the morning! But I'm an early riser anyway!

I was thinking it might be something like this! I had debated between the sixpack (hard lemonade) and the four pack (frappacino) I went with the fraps for DH---now I wish I had gone the hard lemonade route!! LOL

I chose some fun and bright papers to work with in the spirit of spring and summer. Now because of this ROCKIN' CROP and the fact that I used a drink carrier, what better line to use than "Soiree". I ordered this line some time ago, like the day it hit ACOT, and have been stashing it.

Dig through your scrap drawer and use those! I love mixing and matching color and patterns. Have fun with this and go crazy! That's the point!

ONWARD!!!!

For the first step, I measured and cut out my pieces for the side panels. Also, I would recommend cutting and cluing a sturdy piece of cardboard to the bottom of the drink carrier. I didn't figure this part out until I was finished with it. It will cover any openings in the bottom and provide stability to keep it from wanting to close on itself.

Now for this step, here is where some "upcycling" comes in. If you have some screen mesh, cut a small piece of it and lay it over the side panels you just cut out. Grab your paint, gesso, mists, or whatever you what to use and paint over it. You could also put the paint onto the screen and use the screen as a stamp. Keep the screen mesh aside. You'll use it again later.

I used mine as a mask and pushed onto the screen mesh with my finger tips. It gave a "polka dot" kind of look to the panels.
