Great challenge, Sara! That was an awesome lemon cake I made though! :greenwinkb:  :greenwinkb: :greenwinkb:  I haven't made it since, and I really should try it again. But this time around I promise I'll do something related to crochet or cross-stitch. A little more "down to earth" in scrapping! heehee!
Happy Scrapping!

I watched your video and since I have almost everything you used (I know - not much of a surprise), I plan to do a scraplift of your gorgeous design.

Here's mine, Sara! I was inspired by this hexagon quilt design. :)

Photos of some of the gifts oldest granddaughter Makaylee has made for us. She is very artistic and takes 2 art classes in school and has made many creative things. She made the ceramic items and painted the snowman canvas. Also several ornaments, but I have those packed away. :greeninlove:

I like quilts but do NOT like to sew.  But I do crochet and knit so I make "quilts" using yarn.  My first crocheted quilt was granny squares made with both double/treble crochet stitches.  Each square was 8x8 and I crocheted them together with solid color single crochet stitches.  Been years since I have made one though but figured it was good for this challenge.      Image

At first I was scared with this challenge, but then when I found a LO to lift I had tons of fun. I was looking for something crochet related and came across this LO with the dollies and thought it was perfect because I have crocheted a lot of them in the past. Then when I looked at the bottom of the LO and saw the patchwork, I knew this is what I had to do.

The LO I lifted

Since I'm a knitter, also, I went with knitting as the hobby.  I like doing the scalloped edges on borders of knitting projects so I choose that as my inspiration:

So I used my scalloped punch to make the edges on the pink background paper

I am a big fan of needlework and knitting/crocheting.  I was inspired by the patterned papers incorporating these elements by Echo Park and Making Memories that I've had in my stash.  Also, this layout by mom2ellabell that has been in my faves since 2015:
Image

So I copied it.  :-D   My original intention was to actually cross-stitch the XOXO, but it was too small, and I owned the same sticker.  So instead, I hand-stitched a border to make it look like a pillow.  I also used "doilies" for the crochet element.

I have a couple of other hobbies- quilting and knitting.  But, I chose quilting.
Just a simple quilty background.  I rarely overlap hobbies, that means little to no sewing on my layouts.
Here is one from me.

I decided to incorporate string art into my layout.  This was my first time trying it and I'm pleased with the way it came out.

I also like to do counted cross stitching. I did the two borders on my layout and the heart. Lately, I have been making baby afghans for the great grandbabies. I have done many items. It started out I got into the hobby of plastic canvas and that grew to Counted Cross stitching.

Well, I chose to go in a different direction. Hope this fits the challenge. I used to do tons of counted cross stitch, crocheting, etc. but my finger joints don't cooperate anymore with that. So I chose to highlight my Disney pin collection. I chose various ephemera that I have: stickers, epoxy stickers, chipboard icons and stickers, bottlecaps, and gems to surround a photo of one of my 3 Disney pinboards. The icons all remind me of the pins I have collected.
