Washi Tape storage

Post by Monroe1218 » Fri May 24, 2019 2:13 pm

Ok ladies... my washi tape hoarding situation is becoming a problem.  I've got a card catalog drawer stuffed to the brim (and overflowing) and I forget what I have.  I would love some ideas on how to store it where it is more visible but doesn't take up a ton of space.  I'm about to toss it all into a big glass jar and call it done - but as soon as I do, I would need the roll at the bottom.

I don't use it a ton - so it doesn't have to be something that sits out on my desk or anything.  Any ideas??

I put my washi on a dowel  that was hooked under my shelving unit like the one below:

I don't have to remove a roll as they spin and I can just pull off what I need.

I've also seen people use a pant hanger:

I use clear plastic(?) bags that the rolls of washi line up so you can see what is in there

I use a big Husky storage container (from Home Depot)

This holds *about* 125 rolls. I have all my pet related ones (about 40 rolls) in small basket.

For those of us who have LOTS of Washi (I haven't counted in awhile but I'm sure there's about 1,000 rolls in here) this is what I use. I have 5 sets here and they interlock to stack or you can also hang them on the wall as there's "hooks" on the back. I love the drawers as I can see through them. I have also labeled them because I store by color and theme.
