October Daily 2020

Post by Natalie Dill » Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:16 am

Alright, Cherries! Here's the thread where you can share your October Daily posts. Ideas, questions, struggles, encouragement - we're here for it.

Today I posted a quick video about some supplies I plan to use in my album, and my actual album. You can find it here: https://youtu.be/eTSh_zEEbzc

October 1 is Thursday! I can't wait to see what everyone is doing for the month.

I'm pretty sure I have my first story - unless some miracle happens.... Our hospital system is rolling out a brand new (to us) computer system.  It is supposed to go live October 1.  Unfortunately, they didn't make sure the system had pre-built certain things for certain departments... well my department has nothing built.  So on Thursday, I guess we will play tiddly winks until something happens for us. Should make for an interesting story about how we were forgotten about with the new computer system.

I was checking my Halloween cutfiles and came across a set of labels (in the wrong folder) but I thought they will be perfect for a mini! I am going to try to do a few pages and just see how it goes. Haunted house is the first!

Our friend Ashley Horton designed a super cute October Daily cut file. She is offering it for free today only! It will be for purchase tomorrow.

Here's my album I prepped for the month. I made it from chipboard and covered it with old Halloween paper I've been hoarding from My Mind's Eye. I made a little charm with beads and added some ribbon to the ring. I will be making a flip book/tag book type album meant to be removed from this hard protective cover for viewing. I made the spine extra thick so I can make my mini album super chunky.

Is it an Epic system? My son is one of the executives with teams around the country. You may have a "friend at the factory" for help!! Lol.

So I found this prompt list on @CaliforniaLuck's Instagram. I figured I may use it just on some days when I'm not entirely sure what I"d like to make a page about.

Since it’s supposed to be 100º today I will have to be inspired by this one instead of the the previous one, haha no sweaters in my near future!

Interesting, how will you attach your mini inside so that it is removable. I have an insert but not sure how it would hold up, so I may need to plan for something like this.

Actually it is! Currently, I’m playing around as a case manager because there isn’t anything built for a pharmacy “case manager” - it’s not ideal, but it’s not been as terrible as I thought it would be - except we didn’t get logged on until after 11am...

I put two holes in the back with two little rings.
Here's the video if you want a visual: https://youtu.be/eTSh_zEEbzc

Now I say it will be removable but I guess if I fill it up too much, it might all pop apart if i open the rings. But I think I could just switch to bigger rings if I fill it to full!

I was out of town last week, but managed to keep up with some type of daily format in my OD!
I mostly did watercolor doodles.
I'm excited to be reunited with my Halloween scrapbook supplies this week.

What is everyone making!?
