pastes, etc.

Post by traveler »

In the past, when I want to add texture through stencils, which isn't very often, I have used plain white modeling paste and just colored it with whatever I have around here (paint, ink, mist, etc.). The jar I have is almost empty and a bit dried out and harder to work with than it used to be.  I had another brand of a similar product that got really dried out more quickly and had to be thrown away. There seem to be so many different pastes, and butters, and similar things available now. I don't want to get a zillion jars of these things as I don't use them often.

I'm looking for recommendations of what people like. I want a generic color that I can change the color of myself. A  shimmer might be interesting. I would like something that will last for a while without drying out.

Thanks
Louise

I'm no expert but I like to use Vicki Boutin's molding paste to mix with other mediums..

Ranger has a good one too.  I've had for awhile and has not dried out.

I have the Dream Weaver EP and love it.  The jar I have is at least 6-7 years old and it's still soft.  I don't see the plain white in the store though, only copper.

You can mix it with other mediums, it's a huge jar and adds shimmery goodness to everything.
