Scrap a Day, October 13th

Post by pawprints »

Hey Cherries. Today I am off from picking up or taking JJ to preschool, but I’m taking my mom to the eye specialist. I never got back to my layout yesterday so hopefully maybe today after I get back later. We’ll see how it goes.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hello, Cherries!

Sunny and warm here.  If not for the leaves already on the ground, you'd not know it was Fall.

I started a task this morning that I'm now wishing I hadn't.  I started painting the sun room.  I was giddy and all gung-ho, but now I'm over it.  But, I'll keep plugging away.  If your curious, the paint color is called "Lakeshore".  Here's a link if you want to see:

https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeow ... -lakeshore

We've had the paint since before the initial Covid lockdown, but just never got around to doing it.  Better late than never!

Carrie, glad all is well with dd!

Barb, hope you find time to get back to it!

Hi Barb. Hope the eye appt goes well for your mom.

We are still here, trucking along. I continue to be asymptomatic right now. I slept well last night, and never got feverish or had the chills. I don't have a cough and I can smell/taste all of my foods, including my morning coffee. DH on the other hand continues to struggle. He no longer looks like a troll and his eyes seem to be clearer. It hasn't been 24 hrs yet since the Regeneron Infusion Therapy, so maybe it takes a little longer to kick in. But he still coughs and had the chills last night again. He did want coffee this morning, first time in 3 days. And he was actually hungry too. Made him some eggs and he ate all that I gave him.

I'm keeping up with my work, and already took care of my morning chores, including washing my bedsheets. Almost done with my work too and if all goes well (aka no emails), I'll probably do an upgrade this evening.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Just taking a break from cleaning.  Mopping shortly.  The floors in the kitchen are a mess after cooking for Thanksgiving and having little mouths around to feed.

Looks nice out, but only in the 30’s.  Put heat on in the camper last night to keep pipes from freezing.  It gets winterized on Friday.

Hope to escape into the creative zone later.

Good afternoon. I have a mani / pedi appointment in a little bit so my nails will look nice and pretty for our mini vacation. Once home, I’ve got to figure what scrappy supplies to take because we’re trying to pack lightly.

Yes I'm now positive. Bound to happen while caring for him. Got tested yesterday while the lady was giving DH the 4 shots. She took my vitals while she was here. No fever, my oxygen levels stayed at 100% the entire time I was hooked up to the little machine. BP was normal. I don't have a cough, not sneezing (minus the one or two that slip out when I'm outside and the wind is blowing). I don't have the chills, have not had the chills the last 8 days. I can smell and taste everything. My muscles and joints do not hurt. I have no headache. So to her...I cannot do the Regeneron Infusion Therapy. Yet. Once I have at least one of those symptoms, I can call her directly and schedule something.

Hope those of you who are sick are better really soon!  I've been taking zinc and Vitamin D3 to try to keep my immune system up.  Actually, my husband and I think I had it in September of 2019.  I was REALLY sick, couldn't stop coughing, in the ER 2 or 3 times.  It took at least 3 antibiotic and steroid treatments before I started to feel better.  But we didn't know about the virus at that point so I'd need the test to see if I've had it to be sure...  I know it hits some people really hard.  Praying that you're both feeling better quickly!

We had a storm Monday night/Tuesday morning.  Never lost power thankfully and didn't have any damage but we got 2 1/2 inches of rain out of that storm!  It's raining again today and we're almost an inch already!  We didn't have rain most of the summer and we were having to conserve our water big time but now our ponds and our water tank are overflowing!  :)

So I have a question.  What do you ladies do when you've got your layout almost finished and you KNOW you have what you need to finish it but can't find it anywhere?  LOL!  I have TWO of them in that situation right now!  One has a specific piece of paper that I've had for YEARS and I can't find it.  The other I want to use enamel brads on.  But a few months ago I took all the brads off those cards and I haven't been able to find them or remember where I put them ever since!  :)  It's a bit frustrating.  LOL!  If I can't find the brads I'll experiment with Nuvo Drops and a regular brad and see if that will work.  And if I can't find the paper, I'll have to use something else.  :)  And I KNOW if I do them with other things that I'll find the brads and that one piece of paper immediately after! :)

Not much else happening around here.  Just waiting for packages to arrive so we can pick them up tomorrow...

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Good for you to work at getting your immune system strong again after all the antibiotics.  I understand that the government doesn't accept the excuse for a shot as having already had Covid. So, don't worry about getting tested.
I can feel your distress over supplies, my DD and I go through that often! Sometimes it is necessary to wait, others it works out to just use what you can. Personally I have enjoyed working with Nuvo Drops. And I still have tons of brads and know where they are - lol

LOL!  I finally figured out what I'd done.  It looked like a LOT more on the cards but when I put them in with my bigger brads they didn't look like they were there.  I found the perfect ones for my layout and it's finished.  Now I have to scan it and post it.  :)  Thanks for the encouragement!
