Scrap a Day, December 3rd

Post by blbabe1234 »

Hello cherries. Sorry this post is so late, I've had AT&T in my backyard most of the day. They are putting in new lines in and our property has one of the connecting terminals. I've had to coordinate with the diggers every few hours so I can release the dogs!

Please keep Barb's husband, Richard, in your prayers, thoughts, whatever y'all do. He was in bad shape last night and was so weak, couldn't even stand up. Barb had to call 911. An ambulance came and got him and took him to the ER. He was admitted earlier today. He had a fever last night, but that broke luckily.  Once I get another update from Barb, I can let y'all know.

Thank you so much for the update, Brandy.  I've been so worried but didn't want to bother her.  You both have had so much to deal with these past few weeks.

I loaded three layouts to the gallery (one for my challenge). I'm also packing for a crop tomorrow.  Earlier I went for a walk and met up with a neighbor and we walked together.  We have a mutual friend and we have plans to all get together after the beginning of the new year.  Although this new Omicron variant has me terrified.  They just reported the first case in Philadelphia.

Stay well Cherries and hugs to all that are going through some rough times.

Oh how scary!!!! Please give Barb my best if you should talk to her later. I'll add Richard and Barb to my prayers. My heart goes out to her.

I'm still sick myself, but still no PCR results which is making me upset. Since I have some symptoms, I'm not believing my negative rapid test. All I have is a stuffy nose, scratchy throat and a cough. Otherwise I feel fine. I even finished the new BF sketch which is really early for me.

More sickness is evolving at DD's house - now they are thinking Mazie also has RSV and possible COVID. Will this ever end for them? Last night Orahn was a bit better. Again asking for food and then again this morning he wanted breakfast right away. So that is good. DD doesn't have as much pain, but is still down and out. The other 2 are the same as they were yesterday. Hopefully over the next few days they will all turn towards recover.

I hope all my Cherry friends out there are staying healthy and if not, my prayers are with you.
Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 57, 35 and 29) lol. And now a proud Grandma to Orahn (5) Sawyer (3) and Mazie (1).

I cleaned up my scrappy space today and hope to do some crafting this weekend.  BF is almost back to 100%.  Good news from my homestead is that BF got a new job and actually flies out on Sunday to start the orientation process.  He is super excited for this change as am I.   I also took the last two weeks of December and the first week of January as vacation.  That should get me some scrappy time!

As for those puppies of mine?  They are doing well.  Liberty doesn't believe she needs to be potty trained but we are working on that adjustment, lol.

My heart sure goes out to Barb and her husband. Hope he turns the corner soon. Glad you had an up date, Brandy- thanks.

Mildred- hoping your family feels better soon, too!

The grandson went back to school today, so I could run a couple of errands. Then dh and I went out for a Mexican lunch.

Just an update from the fires a couple of days ago. The one here on the outskirts of town destroyed 11 homes and garages. There was another fire about an hour east of too- it destroyed 25 homes. The wind has caused a lot of devastation here this week.

The weather has turned much, much cooler with snow in the forecast. We desperately need moisture.

I'm so sorry there is still so much sickness going on at your DD's house. You might have been negative at the time, but you could now be positive. Hope you feel better. Take your vitamins! Get plenty of rest and STAY hydrated!

Thank you Joyce Ann. We're still monitoring his glucose levels and starting Monday, he'll have more dr appts with specialists. Anxious to see what's causing all of HIS issues.
