(OMG....after reading Carissa's comment...I'm thinking...did I write down the wrong name???? Will double check....and then fix if need be!!!!)

This layout is for the CT Reveal, "Keeping You in Stitches." It's a picture of one of the flowers on my newly planted Magnolia Bush on my driveway landscaping.

Here, I wanted to show you a fun way of how you could just dress up your page with stitches. My page was initially mostly a "white space" page, until I added stitches along the top, bottom, and the edges of my photo and masked them with different color papers. The only other embellishments that I used for this was a grungy overlay (also masked), a few brads, and some word art along with a date.

TITLE:
Magnolia Bush

FONT:
Tom Violence (for the date)

KITS:
Spring Fling (Collaboration Kit) by A Cherry On Top
Simply Stitching Basic Taupe by Christine Nash
Simply Stitching Vanilla Basic by Christine Nash
Altered Fragments - Grungy Edge Overlays by Karen Aicken (e-Scapeandscrap dot net)
Nature Word Art by Ashley Smith (PDP blog freebie)

(ITEMS USED FROM COLLAB KIT:
Alpha by Peggy Brutcher
Paper by Michelle Bradley, KristinCB Designs, and Michelle Underwood
Brad by Theresa Hernandez
Floral spray by KristinCB Designs)

As always, thanks for stopping by to look and for leaving a comment.

The only thing I understand better after I look deep into nature is that life is so flipping complex!!! LOL! I do love this photo though, so beautiful and I like how you used multiple different styles of sticthes in this LO. Great work Egle!

You did a great job showing off what can be done with stitching! I love Magnolias, but I've never seen any that are anything but white. This is a particularly beautiful color and beautifully scrapped. Marci

This is gorgeous! I've never seen a magnolia that wasn't white. It looks more like the hibiscus we have done here. I'll have to look into getting one of those though, its gorgeous!
