I am making these as a Christmas presents for my co-workers and some family members.
I used 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" tiles ($0.25 each), modpodge, pretty printed napkins I had laying around or tissue paper, and Polyurethane to seal them. I then applied a piece of cork in the back to keep it from slipping and ruining furniture.
I spent $12 on tiles, $7 on the Poly, and $4 on a roll of cork. I already had the modpodge, napkins, tissue paper, ribbon, and the adhesive for the cork (a tube of UHU). So far I've made 12 sets of 4 coasters, so all in all I have spent $1.92 on each gift! Can't beat that!
I will post more pictures as I continue to use different patterned paper. TFL!
