Baking with the Sillies posted Jan 24, 2021
by pawprints

Baking cookies with Maddie and Aiden last February, which was the last time that they were here. Shortly after we went into lockdown and they haven't been in our house since. I miss having them here so much. Anyway, we had so much fun baking cookies and they were both being so silly. I absolutely love these pictures and when the Doodlebug Made with Love collection arrived the other day I knew it was going to be perfect to scrap them with. It has so many cute embellies and I had so much fun playing with it!

Journaling:
Whenever Maddie and Aiden have a sleepover with us, we always bake cookies. They each make their own batch… Maddie putting peanut butter chips in hers and Aiden putting chocolate chips in his. The last time we baked cookies was in February of last year, and they both got so silly. As Maddie was putting her cookie batter on the baking pan to form her cookies, her hands got covered in batter and she held up them up as if she was going to touch me with them! She made me laugh and it was so fun watching her have a good time, and it made me think of how much she has grown from the first time we made cookies together when she couldn’t even reach the counter. When it came time for Aiden to add his chocolate chips to his batter and mix them in, he started to make faces and funny noises as to how hard it was to mix. He had me hysterically laughing. We had so much fun that day.

This was the last time they have been here since the Covid pandemic started, and I miss having them and JJ here so much. I am going to really feel it during President’s Week this year, as they always have a sleep over here on that week when they are off from school. It is not going to happen this year, and it makes me so sad. I am really going to miss it, and I miss them so much.
