This pic of my Twinkie that I took out in the yard in July inspired my Music Challenge for this month. Her in front of the hole she had been digging with her dirty face, along with the flowers hanging down from the hanging basket she was digging under, made me think of how her dirty face and the pretty flowers went so well together, despite the fact that you would think they wouldn't. This made me think of the song "Leather and Lace", written by Stevie Nicks and sung as a duet by her and Don Henley… putting two things together that you wouldn't think would go together and yet it works. So I then came up with this month's challenge - to scrap a photo or photos of two things that you would not normally think would work well together, but yet they do.
I got the idea for my title from a word art element from the Seedin' & Weedin' kit by Digilicious Designs & Brook Magee. I thought it was perfect for my Twinks and the love she has for her yard. I used the word art itself for my title.
Journaling reads: This picture of Twinkie covered in dirt from digging in one of her big holes in the yard is such a contrast to the flowers in the hanging basket she is digging right under. Somehow her sweet dirty face and the pretty flowers just seem to go so well together.
