Favorites: 1She looks so Grown Up **Inspired by Fashion** Reveal posted Mar 9, 2010
The flower I made on this page was based on a flower I saw on a shirt. I took a photo with my phone in the store and came home and recreated it. To make the flower, I hand drew a similar flower on a piece of computer paper. I placed a transparency over top (I used one to print on but have also found that the clear cover for cricut mats works the same.) I used a hot glue gun and the pearls from the Kaisercraft Devonshire embellishment pack to make the flower. It was really easy and I love how it turned out. I recommend cutting the length for each petal before adding the hot glue. This same idea could be done for different designs (other flowers, butterflies, even a page title.) And if you are super creative, you could use the idea and add rhinestones, brads or other materials and make a design.
Other fashion inspired page elements: the tag from the embellishment pack was used behind the title, the awesome lace and embroidered flowers from the same KC embellishment pack were used on the page, added a bit of metal (silver glitter flourishes) because that is a current Spring fashion trend, added pearl brads to the page because they remind me of buttons you would find on a shirt or sweater, added texture by embossing the cardstock;
Supplies: PP and embellishment pack(pearl brads, pearl string, and lace and embroidered flowers)- Kaisercraft; silver swirl accents and tiny alphas: Making Memories; thickers: american crafts; embossing folder: Cuttlebug;
