Love that you can set how deep you want the tip to pierce. Very nice quality. The red is all rubber so it is no slip grip.

I have tried several different brands before finding this one, I need never buy another, love it!

Wanted something to punch a nice need hole for brads to go through without making a mess of the surrounding area.
Also to thread string through paper to make the job neater and a darn sight easier!

Have this and love that it's retractable. Word of advice though, if you're poking holes in your paper so you can add some stitching and you're using the Scotch ATG adhesive which is super sticky, be sure to put your adhesive where you won't be poking the holes. Because it will literally pull the pokey end of this tool right out. I've had to have mine replaced because of that. Live and learn.
