Got this morning and couldn't resist giving it a workout. Love it!
I love love this trimmer! I purchased a second for a friend of mine expecting her first child! I love the grid pattern for common cuts, really wonderful if your working in Project Life! Very little pressure needed on blade to cut. Locking mechanism helps to hold smaller pieces when cutting. Some down sides to this trimmer. Meaurements in area of arm swing is tricky. Blades do not have the usage of the blades of my CM trimmer. Plastic sheet will bubble on base, I knew this going into the purchase and have not had an issue with it.
The blade cartridge pops out of the track EVERY TIME I lift the cutting rail unless I BARELY and slowly and gently lift the arm to slide paper in/out. Otherwise, the cartridge flips out. I'll say it again...EVERY TIME. Very annoying to have to stop and pick it up from the table or the floor and put it back in! There's a widened area of the track where the cartridge is supposed to be inserted/removed, but that's a joke as it is so loose it can be lifted out at any point along the track. I got this to replace another one which lasted me for 10 years. I've only had this for about a month and am already ready to throw it out. The other features are good and as long as I baby it along so that the blade stays in the track, it does cut. But the purpose of this is to make cutting easier and faster, not slow me down because I have to baby it along in order for it to do what it's supposed to do. FOLLOWUP: About another month has gone by and now the guide wire has broken. I cannot print here how disappointed I am in this product!!! WISH I could give it ZERO STARS.
