Have used it and it works amazing! It's not a fine tip so you can't get pen/pencil thickness line weights, but it's possible to write capital letters that are approx 3/8" tall and small letters that are 1/4" high no problem... I use it with a laminating machine and both HS and Deco Foil and the results are great - very smooth and high shine results...

Maybe there is a slight learning curve as to how much pressure to use when writing. Parts of the image were splotchy where the foil didn't adhere. I even ran it through the laminator a couple of times.
