Basic Grey Out Of Print 7 comments

Posted by bluejeans7

Basic Grey has done it again!  They created a new line that I just had to get my hands on.  The Out Of Print line has such a wide variety of pattern papers and embellishments, which is true for almost all of the Basic Grey lines.  The colors are a beautiful mix of pinks, blues, greens, yellow, cream and black, so it's a line that's perfect for masculine or feminine layouts.  Basically, Out Of Print is a beautiful versatile line that is fun and easy to work with.  I will be buying more of it for myself so hold off from the shop until I get mine.  LOL!

"My Happiest Moments" are everyday with my little man.  When I saw the "happiest moments" and "love everything about this moment" stickers on the cardstock sticker sheet I knew I wanted to use them on this layout.  I started with the pretty Out Of Print Doilies paper, I wanted the design of the doilies paper to pop, so I glued it on to the Bazzill Pepper Dotted Swiss cardstock.  Basic Grey has these new Yo Yo's embellishments, which are cute fabric flowers with button centers.  I used one of the the Yo Yo's (the pink flower in the bottom right corner) along with two of my all time favorite Basic Grey embellishment, the Bloomers.

"Hold on tight and have fun!"  Okay, Marissa held on tight and had fun but I got to have the fun of scrapping this photo.  I had lots of fun picking out and layering seven different  pattern papers.  Then I had fun mixing embellishments from the Bloomers, Yo Yo's and Pops packages.  And of course I had fun adding some pretty bling.  Over all this was just a fun layout to create.

Something alittle different for my reveal- a layout without one of my kids.  LOL!  For my layout "Always Remember", I wanted to keep the embellishments simple because I wanted the main focus to be on the photo and journaling.  So, I took one of the Out Of Print Pieces and lightly drew some lines because I can NOT write straight without them.  Then I looked at the photo of my hubby and wrote from the heart.  I wanted a more masculine feel so I picked out the pattern papers that featured more of the blues, greens and black colors.

There are days when my kids get along beautifully, and then there are days when I am tempted to duct tape them both to the wall... in different rooms of course.  LOL!  But I know that no matter what, they both are always there for each other when they need each other.  And "I Hope" they always will be.  I love the mix of pattern papers on this layout and I really love the 3D butterflies from the Pops package.  Once again I used flowers from both the Bloomers and Yo Yo's, I really think they work well together.

And last but not least, I made a couple of fun bookmarks with my leftover scraps.  Like I said in last month's reveal, I love to read and I plan on making lots more bookmarks.  These both went together within 15 minutes!
